In 2025 there is always so many things happening at the same time (mostly bad) that it's hard to get a good feeling for anything. Besides gold going up i guess.

Govt. shutdown and bad economy are things that are sort of known and can be traded around.

Potential war in the Middle East, lots of rumors swirling and an increase of war pressure in Ukraine are unknowns and could make this a very tough market to trade.

You are correct but in times of uncertainty for the dollar traders prefer other safe heaven currencies and eu is then helped.
