Golly - look agt Nasdaq dive, did the 5min ORB and a Mebob then down through vwap outer band, then under the vwap line (orange) and wobbled a bit before looking for new prices below lower band and yesterdays NYork IB ?
Why it bounced at 24456 I do not know? will it hit the vwap line - dunno mate?

The clue might be the reactions of the institutional traders, first at Yesterday US Open with a major sell-off and also some at the Tokyo Open, then some manipulation back to the Opening range with London joining in, more selling off , and the pullback is profit taking at the Tokyo Close (10am GMT).

Market Opens & Closes leave traces of heavy trading, no indicators just observation and drawing rectangles at Market Structure.
If you were a Fibo-man then the pullback was at exactly 38.2 % of yesterdays range (which also coincides with 50% fib from US Open High to PDL)

FOMC today, so price might stay muted until the news. Here’s what I’m seeing on gold using Auction Market Theory — could be wrong, but I’ve marked the weekly and daily VWAP levels along with the POC from the most-traded range up to the recent action. Still new to this concept, so open to feedback.

No Direct Entries Ofc since we need price reactions to those levels

Gold – Current session H1 IB shows a bullish break. Price pushed through VWAP, pulled back to retest the VWAP mid, and is now targeting the 1.5 extension. The question is: does today’s IB carry more weight than the prior day’s, weekly, and daily levels?

Nasdaq UK hours ( NY morning)
I am getting more and more interested in how a simple vwap approach could improve my trading. For some on Vidvads thread I show the ORB and "Mebob."
Not sure what I am looking at yet but it seems the vwap and its' bands might help my trading, if only to keep me the right side of short/long. Flatlining vwap =price seems to bounce from band to central vwap line oft times? At present is price off on "discovery?

As I respect Blue for what he is doing here, I will state my opinion gently for an additional insights, you would be even better with MA 21(as an example), just trade on the right side of it...PA higher-trade up, PA lower-trade down. The less wiggles, the simpler the trade, the simpler the entry and the simpler MM. MA 21 is just an example of choosing the right/wrong side of the trade.

Hi Driven.
Please be aware that I am experimenting here. My approach is a channel and a 21ma but I always look at what other people are doing and I have never looked at vwap lines before hence my curiosity here and excess of charts - apologies to people passing by for mr posting too many charts on Blues thread.

It's no good D. I could not resist the lure of vwap etc.
Anyway, charts are UK time. Have shown 5 minute ORB's and (8:35am "Mebobs' - thanks Vidvad) plus vwap line and channel and laura's "Roadmap. I even stuck Drivens' 21ma, sometimes, on charts out of curiosity. Now I will print them off and have a play around. Roadmap is still my go to but vwaps and IB's etc opens the mind to less trades and better probability ?
Not traded any of these but put them up for constructive comment only. Please don't be crude, rude or a 'kin bore.

Maybe the Nasdaq was easier to trade for some experienced vwappers ?

My inexperienced vwap eyes note the bounces from extremes but whether I would have enough confidence to to trade the hard right edge on vwap I rather doubt at this stage.

The problem with FF is that smart guys like Blue are continually baiting me to chase my tail down a seemingly bottomless barrel of rabbit holes.

Still trading fixed bar Gold (using the GC futures contract) and EURUSD (using the 6E futures contract), however this has become my favorite NQ trading chart.

VWAP + Volume Profile + pivotal points, i.e. previous daily and weekly highs, lows, and closes, today's open, and the current days high and low. That is an M1 line on close chart and the things I have been able to do with it have been nothing short of miraculous.

Winning $2.82 for every $1 lost? I'll take that anytime I can get it.

I don't trade the chart all scrunched up like that. I scrunched it to show all the indi's and the whole day's range.

I use a fixed stop loss, a fixed take profit, and an automated trailing stop. I enter with market orders.

When I include yesterday, which was my first day live using these tools, the profit factor is just slightly lower. I was much more timid yesterday than I was today.

Finally, you know my pet peeve is when people post charts and speak of profits without showing that any actual trading took place. These are all 1 lot trades. It looks very frantic, and yet I assure you I've been so calm and relaxed you'd think I wasn't trading at all. No sure wins and I take every loss like a boss. 77.33% winners. Not bad work if they let me keep the job, right?

Seriously, I think I am now outside my comfort zone looking at Vids charts. My web based charts on Ninja ( I use an imac and will not import progs to run windows) were looking interesting with my limited commentary but I think I am out of your league folks. Back to simple Roadmap for me unless I can see a simple way to use vwap and be able to display it on my Ninja web based browser.
