If the democrats idiots start waking up to put their hands in the Republicans hands to make America great again, you'll see how a huge demand on $ will start.
Many forgot that EU is a sinking boat with lot of countries of different political perspectives, even economically, we know who're the biggest powers while most others are living on donations of the ECB.
Why talking about the Euro specifically? Simply because it's the most currency influencer in the basket of currencies vs DXY.
It falls..all follow... Do you wanna know when the real fall will come?
Wait for the next year, elections in UK and further on in EU countries when the whole current garbage communists/socialists governments will go to the garbage of history and new governments from the far right wing will take over and start focusing on their own countries exclusively NOT EU unity nor interfering in the Middle East and Africa politics that they have no relation whatsoever with. Many EU countries will start and actually already hinted of getting out of the EU, in economical agreements ofcourse not geographically
The longer the $ can hold on and even strengthen more until then...the stronger the fall of all currencies vs the mighty $

It is interesting that you say who buys or sells gold is irrelevant.. yet the same logic is being applied when looking at DXY and EUR flows 
. The reality is that flows are what create the moves.. whether in currencies or in gold and ignoring them removes half of the picture.
Gold has seen far larger corrections than anything we are seeing today. In both cases trust in gold was not lost, central banks continued to accumulate and gold retained its role as a monetary asset. One spike down does not erase thousands of years of monetary history or the fact that official institutions hold gold as reserves.
You also mention that fundamentals are irrelevant, but then you rely on fundamentals yourself when discussing Republicans, Democrats, and EU politics. That is a contradiction of your own statement unless you meant to explain something else. Fundamentals are not random noise, they are drivers of flows, and those flows show up in charts. Technicals tell us where those flows are likely to enter or exhaust, and that is what makes a market tradable. Gold is not a one man show, it is influenced by central bank demand, yield dynamics, LBMA fixes, and geopolitical events. The same way EUR drives DXY, these drivers shape gold.. dismissing them ignores the mechanics of what really moves price.
Like I said earlier, I am a day trader and not married to any position.. I just date and time the market. When its time to buy, I buy and when its time to sell.. I sell. No arguments about who is right or wrong, I just show up when the timing is good. A monthly candle is just a bunch of daily candles stitched together which are stitched from 4Hr, and they from 1-hours. Its like Russian dolls.. open one and theres always another candle inside. That is price rotation on a granular level

really dont care about interest rate... my only care is only USD is losing it ground. The petrodollar. For many years, USD using petrodollar to run war engine manipulate countries, banks take USD as resever for 60% of there total asset... but now the rate decreases to 40% and maybe even more. USD have been dump so much this year mostly come from China and Ruski. Gold resever from slightly 10% to 25% just in 2 years showing the doom of USD. Meanwhile others currency doesnt drop much, USD have been dumped for a long time. I really dont know what in mind of Trump and Feds but market show their policy currently is creating a huge stagflation which already happened once in USA in 1970s (At the same time, there is a peak of gold with inflation adjustment). Tarriff itself is always double-egde which hurts both side lol. BTW Gold could really reach 4k and even more for now.Anytime now a dump of gold, but seem not in this month lol, need a full red MN candle with strong rejection at top to sell in long term, otherwise all prediction for new top is meh... yeah I would like to see gold drop but chart show not now. There was sign on D1 but not W1, IMO it not a good sign to sell for now, it have been rejected from 363x which is Weekly pivot with a strong PA -.-
People always buy the rummor sell the truth, they can 3 cuts rate in this year, but it doesnt mean gold can keep going upward. IMO, the high at 371x is a weak top, without any test or confirmation again, that top will not go anywhere at all. With this W1 close above 3675, then yeah, that top gonna be sweep in next week. But after the high, there possible a huge sell is comming, it becomes a target but not a good place to sell
