Yes but longer term I have better accuracy! This trade was a mistake*. I must follow my rules and go with the trend. Iscalping!

*Its not a mistake if it makes money!

It happens repeatedly. So I am better off with 16 pips

yea you are right, if you picked the right entry and side, each session (Asian, London and NY) can easily offer trades fot 20-30 pips. Constantly bagging 20-30 pips a day is what it matters

The next hour will be a push and pull as New York enters.
I'll be looking for sell signals to the 1.1710 level.
If I get confirmation, by volume and candle... I SELL
If broken, I go out for a walk

TRADE FINISHED... +14 pips
I was a nice fakeout at 1.1720 to draw BUYERS into play and take their STOP LOSSES
Now back to waiting mode until 15:00, when the news comes out.
It will show how the week ends.

So that's how I played out this last bit of news at 3 PM

RUN -1 I was over 10.5 pips in profit, but gave it all back, finished on +1.6 pips
RUN- 2 Quick scalp 4.7 pips, but out...

In total, 6.3 pips in plus, but I don't want to play any more today
It is the weekend, and it seems the big players don't want to trade..
It's risky either way
For me ... End of the trading week

That is a number that doesn't really mean much - as displayed by the lack of price action

In my mind the question is this - Will there be a 0.5% or 0.25% rate cut? If it were up to the POTUS there would be a 1.0% cut but THAT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN

Right now it is the USD that is the sole driver of EU - therefor I am still long with a TP of 1.1775

The EUR/USD pair remained weak but range-bound after the 1.1747 resistance held, preventing an attempt to rise towards 1.1800 in the morning. Subsequently, the pair fell to 1.1700 before trading within that range.

As the week concludes, the dollar continues to face pressure, as higher CPI numbers failed to strengthen the currency. Now, with a potential rate cut next week, the dollar risks a deeper decline. The Euro should gain momentum from this, but geopolitical factors might slow this process, risking a drop back into the August range.

It was great trading with everyone. I'll be closing for the week. Have a nice weekend with friends and family!

Last September the fed surprised the market with a 0.50% rate cut before it pauses. Next we should be very careful with shorts cause it might happen again. So it's really a risk to decide before the news. Take care!

Must be thd first time in the last 5-6 weeks we are having a weekly closed above 1720 level (usdx closing the week below 97.70).

to me its possibly more like a breakout but we still have 1790 1830 up above which may form a double top pattern. So I wonder how far eurusd can go above and whether we will see a buy rumours sell fact once rate cut is landed. We will need Powell to be hakwish though

The EUR/USD closed with a limited upward movement within a tight range, remaining below 1.1780 and above 1.1660. The round number at 1.1700 is maintaining the upside potential for more attempts towards 1.1780/89 and 1.1800, as the US Dollar continues to trade on the weak side. 1.1830 and 1.1845 are possible targets if the pair rises above this range and the FOMC is dovish on Wednesday. On the other hand, a drop below 1.1700 and 1.1660 would open the way to 1.1630 or 1.1600, depending on the momentum and likely in case the Fed holds its hawkish tone.

Bessent once said on an interview that in his view at 1,20 EU will collapse, and i think he was right, so i don t expect this post liberation day rally can go there

1.2 is a major resistance, part of the reason i dont think if we going to go much higher if we break through 1830 if Fed is dovish this week.usdx 96.40 area key to me
but on the other hand Trump/Bessent want weak dollars.
not sure if we will see something similiar as last Sep… i hope we do see a strong bounce in dollars but who knows, a rate cut is likely to weaken the dollars
