On Tradingview I see the low of 98.25

This outfit predicts a regular pattern of a mid-month turn of the dollar, as in USD weak, so I guess they know something.

I'll start with the dollar index futures situation.


Open interest has started to rise, but the positions of all futures participants are practically neutral, so it's impossible to draw any conclusions right now. One can only speculate, but I certainly wouldn't enter into trades based on these assumptions. Furthermore, the expiration of the current June quarterly futures contract, as well as the June options contract, is approaching, meaning there will be a lot of trading in dollar index futures and options on this futures this week and next.
The options picture is as follows for now.


Currently, the main support for options is at the 97.50 strike, but starting Monday, after the June options contract expires on Friday, the main support for options will be at the 95 strike, meaning there's a chance the index price could drop to that level. Therefore, I'd wait a week or two, then I can draw concrete conclusions and perhaps open trades.

In addition to my previous post, I expect the dollar index to rise in the long term, meaning at least six months. The only question is when it will start. That's why I think we should wait for the June options and futures to expire and then determine long-term buying levels. Ideally, a decline to 95 would be ideal, and then buy everything from there.

But the most important thing I want to say is that I would never consider selling the dollar index while it's above options support. In such a situation, you should only think about buying, and it's best to buy from support.


There are two questions here. The first is where support will be next week, after the June options contract expires. This will be known as early as next weekend, after Friday's trading, and it will most likely also be lower than the current price. The second question is whether buying from this support will trigger buys, that is, whether the price will fall toward it. So, two more days, and then everything will become clear.
