WM4X-TMA-Dashboard
Multi-currency and multi-timeframe triangular moving average (TMA) dashboard indicator for MT4
WM4X-Dashboard series
Triangular Moving Average (TMA) differs from the standard moving average in the way it weights data points.
TMA places greater weight on the middle part of the moving average by increasing the weighting of each data point linearly as it approaches the middle of the period and then decreasing it linearly as it moves away from the middle. This results in a smoother line by filtering out noise, making it easier to identify trends and potential reversals.
Signal types:
1./ Direct (fast only): shows the direction of the fast TMA (i.e., whether the current value is lower or higher than the previous one)
2./ Crossing of 2 moving averages (fast vs. medium): shows that the fast TMA is higher/lower than the medium TMA
3./ Crossing of 3 moving averages (fast vs. medium vs. slow): shows that the fast TMA is higher/lower than the medium TMA and the medium TMA is higher/lower than the slow TMA. This method is good for showing only well-established trends, where the individual MAs run in a neat order rather than being mixed up.
