That's what we're talking about.
The price will likely rise during the day and break through the nearest resistance levels.
But before that happens, our stop-loss orders will be consumed, limit orders triggered to accumulate LIQUIDITY.

That's called manipulation. A very nasty thing in trading.
This is how big players deceive RETAIL TRADERS.

I posted these levels back in early August. It worked out perfectly for my range trading bias. But sometimes my research is way off. Usually because I believed a thought in my brain that was incorrect? I try not to believe any thoughts I have. Trust! But verify!

I don't think we can ever "know?" Sometimes it's a fat finger trade and immediately reversed. But I tend to believe it's usually on purpose.

Time will tell so I don't get emotionally involved in the outcome. Stay neutral. With a bias.

The 1 min seems to be going back to the spikes as expected. I think it's a setup for NFP? Someone probably leaked the numbers.

Tough one. Bad numbers for US should be good for EUR and price should go up.

But bad numbers make it more likely, that the FED lowers rates, which is good for the US economy and therefore would be good for the USD, so the USD should get stronger.

But lower interest rates would tighten the spread between FED and ECB rates, which makes the carry trade less interesting, where you buy USD and sell EUR, which ultimately means, when carry trades are closed, EUR will be bought and USD sold, which makes the EURUSD go up.

And I am sure, there are many more reasons, that could be used to explain whatever happened AFTER the fact.

Markets make news, not the other way around.

Last week USD had green news and dumped. Things often go the opposite way of what you may think with the news. It’s not always green up and red down like we think it should be. Other times do end up how we think they should be after some time so patience is key.

Someone (probably brokers) are holding eu down by filling large selling orders when retail traders try to get in a buy break out higher. But the same is happening when sellers try to join on a drop - brokers buy! Its typical when big investors are waiting for some clarity from numbers like US NFP tomorrow, US CPI next week a rate cut at Sep. 17 or just some geopolitic news that create risk aversion. Better wait for a decisive (strong) move outside 1.1600 or 1.1700 which is accompanied by fundamentals and then follow price action. I believe we are near!

Can the bulls current H4 candle turn into a bullish candle? 1.1646

If so, we will have two candles with wicks on the H4, which would indicate that we are going up

1635 is support for bulls.

EUR/USD traded in a tight range between 1.1669 and 1.1630 today. The pair failed to move above the higher boundary towards the 1.1700/20 level, despite the not-so-good news from the US.

The market is now positioning itself for tomorrow's US Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report, and until then, I expect low volume and the current ranging conditions to continue. The NFP release should create significant price movement and a more directional trend, unless the data fails to excite traders.
