I have to say the 4 hours look even more scary (re retracement possibility) than they did 100 pips ago.

My live VT charts 15min and lower show the spike too. I've seen these things a few times and am no longer surprised. Maybe brokers taking out S/Ls?

I found a QQE indicator for MT4
Might be worth a look I can not say alot about this indicator other than I wish I could make the lines thiner and have them stay that way.

I'd really like to know if others have observed these spikes before
major action, and whether you can remember what happened afterwards.

I can recall seeing huge spikes a few time in the last few weeks. Only
one can I recall that it spiked down, and afterwards when up significantly.
Here we have a spike up... I wonder if that's a signal to go down. ???

What do others recall about spikes? I don't think these are mere
glitches, but designed to affect trades based on trendlines.


My Royal Forex feed had a +40 pip spike from the tic chart.
M1 chart details were:

2007.08.15 00:05 (GMT+3) OHLC: 234.74 235.11 234.66 234.67

Consequently, an H1 trendline (resistance) was breached by 1 pip.
Furthermore, the H1 5ma was touched (235.05 and changing live).

Ok guys,

We made a QQE indicator for MT4 with an alert and email system. It works just like the VT QQE and if you compare the two you will have a 99% accuracy. the 1% difference is the difference between the data feeds, not the math of the indicator.


This indicator is good for a week, this is just for testing at the moment.

Scalping in retracement is very very risky, more likely you'd get burned than profits. I have been there before, better go with the trend and indicators.

I have to say that I find GU looking so bearish (despite the oversold signals all over the place) reassuring for GJ's decline.

Bit of information that people might not be aware of. The withdrawal requirements for hedge funds require 45 days notice. The notice date for the end of September is tomorrow. It is quite likely that many (if not all) people are going to want to get their money out and will be making their notice. The hedge funds will have to liquidate their assets, which at this time are probably worth pennies on the dollar.

This could be a trigger that leads to a real stock market collapse. I fully expect a rapid and basically complete collapse of the hedge fund market, and loss of huge amounts of money.

Things could get real scary, real fast this week.
