Is subscription worth it?

VWBIII is just a way (not sure if it really works either) to hide your money from the irs and setup off shore accounts. There is no trading information in there.

If your really serious about that sort of stuff it might be worth a read, but for the average citizen its probably easier to just pay your taxes on the up and up.

I dont know about the knife files I am not a member over there.

Hey, if you can't take a hundred pip trade delivered to your mailbox and make 50 bucks with it... you definetly don't need to subscribe. 1 mini lot would have paid for itself. If you locked in and got stopped, 50 pips then...

Well I made the subscription fee back at least twice over trading penny stocks, but this is not the point at all. He advertises his only goal is to make money and relative to other investment or trading options/vehicles he's not really delivering what I expected after all the hype.

But to each his own and all I'm pointing out is that there is alot of info avail for free at his site that can educate you about if his system is for you or not prior to plunking down your cash.

I know vegites will try to kill me for saying this, but if someone asks for egold they are 1) trying to rob you or 2) trying to get out of taxes. Egold is a way to "hide" what you are doing.

If some one refers you to start an egold account they usually get signup bonus, that is why the transfer rate is so high. The 2nd problem with egold is once you pay some one with it your money is gone. There isnt a bank or agency or better business bureau where you can complain. Your money is just gone. buyer beware.

Most egold brokers exist in tax free zones so you dont need to pay taxes on that money in theory, but most any country has good tax collectors that can track that stuff. Even if it the company is legitimate there is a chance they will get court orders for tax evasion and cause you too loose money eventually. In the USA they will likely get the records of all participants and if you profited they will be on your door step too.
While there probably are some honest companies out there using egold, asking people to go into back alleys and pay 10% commisions on untraceable money doesnt help their reputation.

The company vegas himself recommendend I use, goldage dot net, was shut down by the NYC cops about 2-3 days after I was fortunate enough to conculde my transaction with them. My egold account was frozen but I've not had any negative reprecussions personally from the law. I expect the jokers running that operation have either been deported or put in jail as the site is now some sort of forum. It does not bode well for the legitimacy of egold.

For what ever its worth I will never use egold again. "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."

what you see is what u get man
subscription signal service is same speculation like we do everyday in forex or other investment based on analytics but with different indicator or ways to do it. some might have positive result on subscrition some might not.

but i still prefer trade with my own skills, experience, and knowledge i have from many ups and downs in market volatility.

I've read this thread out of respect for Vegas and all he does for traders. I haven't spoken with him yet, but he has been very responsive to all of my emails. He has answered everyone of my questions with articulate explanations. I believe he offers more for free than most people charge for and he provides access to everyone for no cost on a delayed basis. The cost of his alerts is nominal and as he points out his intention is to eliminate the people that are not serious about becoming traders, but only seeking to ask redundant questions because they're not willing to study the material provided. The way he applies his experience in his training documents is worthy of publication and could be sold at premium prices.

The collective2 website is not a fair measure of the vegas method because of the rules applied and his actual trading is not reflected in the collective2 results posted.

I've had difficulty establishing an e-gold account and funding it, but I'm a dedicated student of vegas and determined to study and understand everything he advocates. He has also been very understanding and will work with people that are attempting to learn.

I've learned more from vegas in 4 months for a couple of hundred dollars than I have for the thousands I spent over the last 4 years. I'm not promoting his service because I'd be pleased if fewer people belonged and afforded the few more individual time to interact with vegas.

I should confess that I've slightly changed my point of view. I still prefer to rely on my own tools but now think that it would be okay if somebody sells signals and/or systems. There are many people who prefer to receive such information and in a legitimate way it would be okay if you make extra money by sharing such info with them.

However, I still believe in sharing as much as you can with others for FREE.

This is merely an observation and not an attack in any way, so please don't take it that way....but after a few years in Foreign Exchange, I've noticed that the getting things for free (I.E. advise, trade calls, systems, programming help) is prevalent much more in forex than any other exchange. Almost to the point where it is expected and those that still make a living through pure captilism are often slammed and excused of being shiesters.

When I first got into stock trading, I had to pay several hundreds of dollars for even bare bones knowledge of day trading and even then, had to invest over 25K to trade even on small margin leverage. There is no doubt that forex traders are the most spoiled of any and all of the markets as it's still in it's relative infancy and many brokers are catering to build customer bases. We enjoy less spreads, no commissions most of the time, less slippage, smaller account requirements...etc....etc...etc.

I read on the NFA website recently that InterbankFx had to settle a case (abridged) whereas they weren't requiring their customers deposit enough margin to cover trade. They settled for $25,000.

Now, while I'm not complaining about forex traders, because I also am one 100%, if another trader, teacher, analyst, decides to charge for services rendered; we should allow them the right to do so as partakers in our captilist society, as is their right without judgement so as they aren't violating any laws in the process.

I was on another forum recently where a person who had put a tremendous amount of time into a MT4 template, which showed very good results, was slammed as "greedy" for charging $79 for the sale of the template. So I can trade to make money, but cannot invest my personal time in development also for money?

Giving away everything for free DOES NOT promote prosperity. As much as I respect all those who have given thousands of hours freely to the development of open-source Linux, it's non-for-profit aspect is it's biggest hinderance to success.

If your serious about trading, and you see a product or service that may aid you in your success, then why is it so terrible to compensate the developer, author, signal provider, for such an oppurtunity?

Vegas, in my opinion, probably gives too much away for free. Once what you give away for free in time and energy starts cutting into your overall enjoyment of life and what you've worked so hard to earn....it probably stings to see the fruits of your free labor bashed publicly.

I'm just a newbie compared to alot of the guys here. Nevertheless i've learnt from vegas some really interesting ways of handling things. That's why i'm a bit surprised that SOME people here expect that everything is for free. Do you also go to a store and discuss with them why they should sell their products for free ?

It suprises me that so many people complain about the fee. Try giving something valuable for free and you'll see how many stupid and lazy people will come to you asking irrelevant questions and insulting you. Even the smallest fee eliminates them. That's why (probably) Vegas did it. The fee is so small that trading 1 lot you would've made it back after a month. I've traded his 4 hr tunnel method and it earned money needed for subscription, why wouldn't I pay to get more valuable stuff? Some people complain that Vegas'es performance wasn't that good. Whose else was during last few months? Volatility at its historical low, no clear trends... It was hard to make money until last week. Vegas already said that subscription will be extended due to this fact. Is it unfair? Why is it ok to get your money via market and isn't ok to charge for education? Do you buy books or do you steal them? Or maybe you rely only on forums created by amateurs? I read Van Tharp's excellent book and learned a lot. I paid for this book and in two days I got knowledge that otherwise would've taken weeks to learn. Was it a bad deal? Imagine you enter into forex with $2000, you waste a year to learn to trade and you're down to $1000 when you finally profitable. Wouldn't it be better to spend $500 (Vegas charges less) for signals, trade it for a year and turn $1500 into $3000 at the same time learning how to trade on your own? Education is expensive in every field, Vegas charges pennies and you think it's immoral? If you consider making money immoral you will never succeed in forex. Vegas just charges for his work, just like everyone with exceptional knowledge in particular field. Only amateurs give their work for free...

I wish good trading everyone, doesn't matter if you trade your own system or signals received by email. It only matters whether you making money or not.

I tried to subscribe to the service because I believe in the Vegas system. I couldn't figure out the whole e-gold system so I quit. I would join in a minute if they took VISA.

I feel obligate to tell others that are into the vegas 1 hr tunnel, 4hr system and VWB systems to do careful research before subscribing. The systems he gave out for free ARE NOT the system he sells signals for, its some thing DIFFERENT. He uses large stops and the trades are infrequent due to some convoluted mumbo jumbo that makes little sense to me, maybe I am just to ingorant to comprehend it.

In my opinion the whole thing is a scam, just one level up from your average forex scam, put together buy a guy who knows how to take your money and wants to hide his identity. However there may be some crumbs to follow for those who care look close enough. I noticed a name on the properties of one of the special documents he gave out before starting his service (rmb on the .doc and select properties from the context menu), could be this is a mistake or the name the of persons computer he used to write the doc or whatever but for anyone with the ambition theres a start to a trail. As for me I dont really care, its part of the game and I'm paying in my ante.

In conclusion, I dont say his system or service are bad, its just not for me. Anyone who wants to subscribe should due their own dilligence before trying to find an egold broker. There is plenty of info for free on his site that should give you more than enough info to make your own informed decision.

Thanks for the great comprehensive comment. I couldn't agree more.

I come from the Forex world. I learned a lot from others for free. This mentality is still with me that I have to pay back what I got from others. Then I shared my EAs with others for FREE, which I don't regret at all. While I enjoy the discussions around the EAs here at FF I receive emails and PMs from our friends at FF that expect me to give them support for what I gave away for FREE! They sometimes ask me very basic and even silly questions. They sometimes question me about the behaviour of the system on a specific trade or with a specific broker. To make it short, I have a life to live. I work full time and am working hard toward getting independent and leave my 9 to 5 job. I also need to spend my evenings with my family and friends or spend time to study or develop new methods.

That's why I eventully realized that I need to change my point of view. If I'm going to become a full time forex trader I have no choice but to raise money through selling some of my services. And as you mentioned it's totally acceptable to make legitimate money not just through trading.

The bottom line is I 100% agree with you. I enjoy sharing but I'll also make money in all possible legitimate ways.

It seems that you didn't wasted that 10% of your life.

Then why did he publish the Vegas Method there and write in his article about it if that "is not a fair measure"
From what I see his method isn't in profit for now. If you had a system and you know that is made for only a pair and for the other pairs lead to bankruptcy, would you backtest/forwardtest that method on the other currencies???????

Just take it math, is a 50% chance the price to take up or down and if you combined with a little fundamental analysis the chances go up to more then 70% (i just assumed, no actual calculus done). The only problem will be that you have enough money in your account to "beat" the drawdown.
Forex is a spot market and prices will eventually go up/down to the TP point, how i said earlier you only have to beat the drawdown, which means a big account(i think i just created the world's most easy forex method )

Overall I read and somehow agree to Vega's work and I don't blain him for selling signals, but right now I won’t see my self paying money for trading signals
