Great on discipline in trading a simple method.
He has introduced another method of his - simple but deadly if your discipline and money management is crap. Maybe one of you might want to give it a twenty trade experiment?

May I make one political post and then back to trading? Thank you.

Most of you probably know I am not a Trump MAGA cultist. Like my late friend rocky, I am anti-authoritarian, anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-misogynist, etc. and so on. Trump is a truly terrible human being, and my opinion of those who follow him blindly and support him in all his crimes is very low. I am pro-human beings, wherever you are from, however you identify, etc. and so on.

What's the point?

Well, I just got a notification that yet another MAGA cultist placed me on ignore. I know he did so for no other reason than that I am not a Trump boot licker. I know this because he placed both me and my friend bluesteele on ignore simultaneously lol

And I think it is so funny that these MAGA types are always talking about liberals as "snowflakes" and talk of "liberal tears" when they are without a doubt the weakest of the weak among us. They are so weak in their own skins that they must block themselves from anything and anyone who might cause them to question that cognitive dissonance they are feeling in their mind between their support for Trump and their own now broken but perhaps semi functional moral compass.

Because, people, you can't support Trump and be a good person. It doesn't work that way. You cannot support a racist totalitarian and claim the cloak of Christ. It just doesn't work that way. You can't love your neighbor as you would love yourself if your main political motivation is to inflict harm on the very people Jesus would have us love the and welcome the most.

Anyway, if you are MAGA and you haven't ignored me yet, this is your chance. Let the ignoring begin!

And now back to trading:

I haven't used Tradovate to look at my stats lately, and today figured new month, so lets see what my stats look like for Q3 thus far. My trading in my evals, funded, and self-funded accounts has been somewhat sparse this summer, between work demands and family vacations. But I have been trading as I can.

This morning I decided to look at this one account in particular because of all my fixed bar starts and instruments, this has become my favorite. It trades GC, the CME listed gold futures contract, and what I like about gold is that it has far less back and fill and far more follow through on my bar interval than either then ES or the NQ, and its range during my session is enough to allow for decent profits while maintaining a small trade size, unlike the currency futres 6B (GBPUSD), 6E (EURUSD, and 6J JPYUSD).

I can't take credit for these results other than the fact that I follow the trading plan I created to trade this market. And even then, did I create the trading plan, or did my observations of how gold tends to trade lead me to the mere discovery of it?

Either way, I take no credit for the results. I take credit only for having followed the process that allowed this account to generate these results.

Process over profits. That is what this thread is about, after all.

I like to get to now a person and make my decision that way. You seem like a decent person to me vidvad and give excellent advice and have not steered me wrong yet. That is all the matters to me

Long for 4.5 pts on S&P. I finally figured out how to the add the trade entry and exit. Hopefully you can see it OK.

What's that tell you?

It tells me that if a trade is going to go to the take profit, it's going to do it almost immediately.

It is "fixed bar" meets "reversal bar," i.e. a combination of my two main strategies. Also, various additional rules apply, for example, one rule is that there can be no pivot between entry price and take profit.

Think of it as "mebob" grows up.

M15 or M30, depending upon overnight volatility.

I've been threatening to start a new thread to introduce the reversal bar approach I use, and since this trading plan is a combo FB/RB strat, I'm not going to go into any more details until I have the time to start and curate a new thread.
