Hi Karmo, i have a question for you mate, can you guide me to a web site that teaches how to set up trend lines? please. i know by asking this i have a long way to go, but we must start somewhere. i am looking at babypips web site would you think thats plenty to learn from. i will apreciate it Karmo and thanks in advanced.

The Plunge Protection Team failed in rallying the stock market at the closing. Bad news for the stock market this week.

I would have bet money on a 100-200 point rise right at closing.

hmm, I can't think of any website but why don't you some search on this forum and on the internet, there are PLENTY of information out there, or maybe create a thread in the 'beginners section' asking for information on Trendlines, they'll help you out

I think you may find your TPs are too high, Karm, unless they're just interims.

Excellent mate, I was a bit worried about that trade, 20 or 200 pips doesn't matter so long as they are green

I'm a realistic man, I don't want to sit and dream of 210 or 200 at the moment, they are far away at the moment and the market is not going to go down 2000 pips down suddenly...

I will go with what my chart tells me, I communicate with my charts and I listen to what they say instead of listening to anything else..

In fact, I'm not so sure about that... I just found a major support very, very close to your TP - in a pattern on weekly that occurred on the previous massive GJ drop in July 98.

Gosh, that's not a TP, except on my 3 month option - for a while, at least! As I said, I think it is extremely difficult (for me, at least) to find the correct TPs. There is unquestionable major support where your TP is: if we were to emulate July 98's pattern, there would then be a collosal retracement (for a few weeks), followed by the really enormous drop after that.

So what's wrong about taking profit at a major support ?
in fact it's wiser to TP at a major support and re-enter after breach - or did I misunderstand what you're trying to say ?
