I'm 60, Got lucky in the music business early on, started another business still going 28 years later and in my lifetime ,Trump, regardless the hyperbole, the smears, the opinions of others because of TDS, none of that matters, Trump leads by example as a President, and has shown it almost DAILY, along with his administration, constantly open to the media, unlike MOST past presidents who claimed they were going to be transparent. Trump, as a President, is the Best President in my lifetime, and I've been through a lot of them, and their scandals... Sorry folks, I know your feelings may have gotten hurt, but time to pull up your big boy/girl/whatever Pants, and live your life while the country is free to do so... once Trump is gone, and a dem takes back control, WW3 starts, why? because that's the new world order plan, and the democrats, and some republicans, are pushing for it, trump temporarily stopped/slowed it down... it's why they tried assasinating him.. Twice...

Trump claimed earlier this month that “trillions of dollars are being taken in on tariffs” and his levies have “not caused inflation, or any other problems for America, other than massive amounts of CASH pouring into our Treasury’s coffers.”

The U.S. has collected $142 billion from tariff revenue so far this fiscal year, which ends in September, according to Treasury Department data released earlier this month.

Since Trump’s tariffs took effect in April, his levies have generated about $96 billion in revenue.

Customs duties accounted for
$27 billion in revenue for June
$22 billion in May
$16 billion in April

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told MSNBC earlier this month he expects tariffs would generate $300 billion annually, noting “there’s a chance that could be higher” in 2026.

The Tax Foundation projected Trump’s tariffs would raise about $2.5 trillion over the next decade, even as the levies will likely raise the price of common goods and taxes for the average household by nearly $1,300 in 2025 and $1,700 in 2026.

The other countries raised their tariffs back then. Now countries like Canada, UK, maybe India, others are offering to drop their tariffs and still being tariff-ed by US. There has got to be differences between now tariff reaction and then that would make this outcome somewhat different.

Having carefully read that and sifted through all the chaff, I can find just two material things. Is that the best that you can do? Obviously better than Mr Reagan then.

What you like about Trump is that he is open to the media and transparent. Yes, he does quite enjoy that side of things and his press conferences like his recent one on cracking down on the horrendous crime in DC, although no one really knows many really important things.

Somehow I suspect that Bessent did not receive legal advice on that opinion.

That was an US Act. Without checking, that means that it was passed by Congress.

What similarities does that have with Trump making an executive decision about tariffs? Congress was not even consulted. Pretty much none, I reckon.

But people are allowed to introduce strawmen I guess. If that's the best authority, I'd like to see what the others are.

The last few sentences in this last para is interesting.
