yes and brother look at the strong resistance at 4hr timeframe, the 4hr candle has closed above the strong resistance level after break out.

Overnight gold reached the end of the bearish butterfly pattern at point D, at 3,485.57. A conservative long entry for completing this pattern at point D was marked by a magenta circle.
Is the B-C swing finished? It should have 5 fractals. Can we distinguish these sub-swings on 4H TF with great confidence for accuracy?
The first support zone is between 3462-3447.

There are hundreds of ways to manage the trade.
Setup- bearish butterfly pattern (my)
Entry- what triggers your trade? Do you enter the full position at once, or do you scale?
Stop loss- above/below swing high/low. Risk has to be accepted before the entry; otherwise, no entry. Do you use a trailing stop?
TP-do you take partial profit?
All these questions should be addressed in your trading plan.

I entered using the butterfly setup, as the pattern is large 1st target is 760pips (38%) which is definitely possible but i cant handle those swings at my current trading level from a phycological and financial point of view. so im just waiting or hoping for price to pull back to the last 1hr consolidation which is a conservative 300pips.
Of course if it does hit my target price will collapse as soon as i close to the full target again leaving me whishing i had held.
But from a technical point of view i reduced the target as gold is so strong at the moment and from my experience trading counter-trend can leave you trapped.

What im struggling with is when price moves in your favour 150pips why am i not taking that with both hands because im not really risk averse so happy to re-enter again after retrace.

Targeting 1.3345, although the daily range is huge (182 pips, more than 200%dailyATR(14)

Doubt for today.

The range today is 180 pips.

And of late... highest range for a day is 180
Intraday only.

Fishbones, it all depends on what kind of trader you are, but even if you are a day trader or scalper, it's better to go with the trend. The daily chart is the king, and right now we have a parabolic move ( ii-to iii) with an objective of @3604.

On 15M TF, the retracements are very shallow, so objectives would be mediocre with too much uncertainty even for day traders.
