BTW, I have found more issues in that code:
1. Improper SL and TP coding,
2. Improper Lot calculation when Risk percentage is applied (how can we calculate Risk Lot when we don't know the SL distance?), so the applied calculation is wrong.

there was an indicator i remember using once several years back which shows fib numbers between zigzag waves

not expansion or entrancement levels, not that

it shows what fib % each wave has moved , could i get that please

High-impact fixes (my short list)

 

  1. SMA slope + distance filter

    1. Require SMA(200) current > SMA(200) previous for buys (and vice versa for sells).
    2. Require candle close not too far from the SMA (e.g., distance < 0.5–1.0 ATR) to avoid chasing.

  2. ATR-based stops & targets

    1. Replace fixed 10/70 with SL = 1.0–1.5×ATR(14), TP = 2.5–3.5×ATR(14).
    2. This adapts to volatility and reduces cheap stopouts.

  3. Breakeven + trailing

    1. Move to breakeven at +1.0×SL, then trail at 1.5–2.0×ATR or a Chandelier Exit.
    2. Locks gains when trends stall before 70 pips.

  4. One net position

    1. Limit to one total position per symbol (not per side), and flip on crossover (close opposite when a new signal appears). This avoids hedged stagnation.

  5. Basic news filter

    1. Skip entries within ±30–60 min of high-impact news (can be as simple as a manual schedule input if you don’t want an API)

Taking a quick look at the code, there are a number of issues:
1. ManageTrades(); should be the first operation in the OnTick(), before anything else and independent of anything else. And it should always be executed. Any limitations to the execution of ManageTrades(); should be inside this function.
2. The NewsFilter should be the next one, and it should be before, and outside the NewBar. The return; when true is what prevents trading functions from being executed.
3. And, therefore, we might want to add more limitations to the number of Print() we get, or use a different method, like Comment(), or whatever.

Hi all,

i am no expert coder, barely know coding and currently using CHATGPT to code my idea, currently quite profitable on demo with no interference, but i can be much more profitable if i can get chatgpt to achieve a cooldown strategy after a loss, seems it is struggling with this as it never works, can anyone assist.

So what i basically just want is, that after a loss, no matter the size, it must not take any trades without a certain time period with an input field?

I need a simple Ea and sure that will be very useful for all traders.Ea will show the chart's all(open+closed) profit and percent profit perhaps.And will close all charts orders at some profit.And if you know such ea on this principle please make me know.

I think ı need more explanation of my desired Ea.Ea will work on the other same pair's chart and will show the pair's both closed and open orders profit.And will close all that pair's orders at some combined profit amount.Please forget about the percentage that ı mentioned before.

Hello Metatrader , Andi can you make a Ea for Mt4 a very simple one ...
Time frame for 1 min and 5 min timeframe
A buy order when the candle close above the momentum 100.o
The standard metatrader momentum indicator(14)
And when the close of the candle is above the 20 ema
When you can add a filter for the timeframe 1h
When the ema is above the 20ema
Then i think it is perfect..
When filter can set On/0ff
And a stop loss i can set and a profit target in pips and when you have fun with it a trailing stop is also good ...and i think better...
Hope you can do that...
For selling its the opposite idea
