I want to thank you vidvad. I am currently trying to get funded on a prop account. You gave me the confidence to do so. Previously I was trading the account, but using much smaller lot sizes. Now I have increased that size 10 fold. I have gained a lot of confidence over the last several months running these 20 trade tests. Even when I lost two trades in a row the other day. I just stopped for the day per my rules and waited for the new day. Now I have won the last two days.

Just spent 90 minutes on a Saturday morning, I 100% agree, well worth 90 minutes of time. Some fantasic points.

1. If one can tackle the mind set and emotional side of trading, you are better off than 90-95% of traders. The rat vs. the Yale students was extremely eye opening.
2. If you methodically trade a rules based system that has an edge, you 100% CANNOT fail.

I'd love for you to come over to my thread so we may follow that prop account you mention in the video. I believe it would be very inspiring.

Thanks for watching and I'm happy that you found it worth your while.

I'm on a little vacation this week so I won't be trading the prop account (or an account) until Friday (possibly) but more likely Monday.

Hey everyone,
I have spent the last few days reading most of this thread and watching Vidvad's YT videos. A few months ago I came across the thread, read through a few pages, then moved on. I've been on this journey for years, about 7, trying every strategy there is, consuming hours of YT videos, paying for several courses that still lead me to the same place.
The 90 minute Vidvad posted recently was really an eye opener. The roulette player example really hit home about sticking to your plan, he knew he had a slight edge then used it. If we have a slight edge that we can profit from then we also are capable to making this a long term strategy as long as keep ourselves in check.
Moving forward I plan on using the 8-8:20am est fixed range using gold. By looking gold from sunday 8/3, it hit the .618 level 7 times in a row... impressive.
For me, this time is perfect because I can be done trading by 5:30 am.

The real test is how you respond if it should fail 7 times in a row. Or even just three.

My RR: 1) buy trade 1:1
2) sell trade 1: .618
I also always move the stop loss to breakeven when the price reaches +0.5 (150 fibo). Here is an example on the chart.
Нigh 12 August is the reason for the price stop. In such situations, moving to breakeven helps.

Solid trading plan. Stick with it!

Remember, according to Douglas, you can only change 1 variable at a time, and only after completing a 20 trade sample size.
