Anyone else notice this?

Since the Winter Time change, set 1-hour back, on November 3 for New York?

On Tradingview, the new daily candle starts at 4 pm, while on Metatrader 4 the new day remains on industry standard at 5 pm.

Strange... Weird... Fascinating...

It is wellknown that EU and UK regulators have become more of a revenue collecting machine for their local government than a body focused on the interest of the traders or consumers.

More and more brokers are dropping their CySEC licenses, finding them more of a burden than an asset. Newer generations aren’t concerned with institutional or corporate affiliations they care about whether they’re getting paid or not.

I also believe that CFDs will eventually be banned entirely in the EU, with access to derivatives or synthetic products available only through centralized authorized LPs, same as the US. Belgium is a good example of this direction.

Nothing new here, only this time they did it with a bigger fish.

my top pick so far (let me know your better choice), but recently I found out my orders always get price that is worse than current ask / quote price during that moment (I've tested, even during quiet hours that price stay still), is it just me?

Yes, I find their spreads and fills to be good, and their online portal is one of the better ones for account admin.

However, I have not made a withdrawal yet, so I can't speak to how smoothly that process goes.

i do have been trading with them for sometime now...no complaints frankly..but now facing issue with profit withdrawls as my withdrawl got reversed by the bank in india

Was this issue on the broker's side or the bank's side?

Has IC offered you any help to resolve the issue?

Banks side...well im in contact with the ic team for sometime now.. hopefully i get a fix on this issue

WTF, clear cut evidence that ICmarkets is manipulating the price.
one shows CMC markets and the other shows ICmarkets.
How the **** has the close candle liquidated the previous low when on every other broker this is not the case.
This isn't even on the 1m or low time frame charts, but the 4hr.

What time was this? Maybe rollover? Lots of brokers have different prices over rollover...

If I hold overnight (rarely), I often widen my SL for an hour, then place it back in its original place once the spreads have stabilised.

So far all good with IC markets, but I have not try to withdraw yet.
From my experience - better withdraw profit only once from the broker.

From my experience, it’s not that a broker shouldn’t let you withdraw whenever you want — they should, always. If you’re with one where that’s not the case, that’s a huge red flag.
What some traders mean when they say “better withdraw profit only once” is more about practicality than restriction. With certain offshore brokers (especially the shady ones), frequent small withdrawals can raise extra checks or even excuses from the broker. Sometimes they’ll delay or ask for unnecessary documents if you keep requesting every week. So, the idea is: once you’ve tested the broker and confirmed that at least one withdrawal went through, you don’t keep poking the bear. You let profits accumulate, then make one decent withdrawal instead of a dozen small ones. It’s basically a damage-control mindset when dealing with brokers you don’t fully trust. But in principle, you’re absolutely right — if a broker is reliable and well-regulated, you should be able to withdraw any time without second-guessing it.

ICmarkets is manipulating the price..... I do not think so!

I have sometimes gaps between broker. with same EA and Settings. Once I was stopped out with a Distance of more 20 Point (Forex)
Time 00:01 - 00:02. Spread you never see (except with backtest that periode)

My investigation showed:
- Charts normal show Bid price and not Ask price
- Symbol open hour! example EUDUSD Oanda: 00:05-23:59 / Tickmil 00:00 -23:59 (Monday 00:02) / IC Market 00:01 -23:59
- there are closed Periodes example Oanda AUDNZD 00:05- 21:59 <pause > 22:05 - 23:59
- Server reachabiity/poor internet

It need deep research to understand what happend. look at tickdata for exampl, backtest something in visual mode that periode

I don't believe in price manipulation either, but they regularly gamble at night via peaks and massive spread widening. Tonight 0.00232 points. This only happened at ICMarkets and CapitalPoint.

I've never had a problem with IC Markets. Withdrawals are no problem.

Imho just pick a broker with tight spreads and low commissions, be careful around major news and rollover, and then just get on with trading.

So much time is wasted on here, going round and round discussing brokers, it's all a distraction from developing a decent trading method. Just get on with it!
