is there a posting about using the 5sma. lots said in here about it, so would like to learn. i know how to add the sma's just not how you use them.

It's hard to say where Fundies leave off and Techs take over but some of this technical stuff has to eventually come to fruition. I know bearish momentum has been strong but shorts please be aware of what's showing on the charts. The 50% Fibo around 236 is the most obvious. RSI is oversold (though I realize that means nothing in a trending market) and it is also showing divergence. MACD is still showing strong divergence from the 15M Chart all the way up to the 4H Chart. A simple 38.2 retracement from the last leg down could take us all the way up to the 239.20 area. A 50% would go to 240. Just my observations.

I shorted at the 1h 5SMA.. and got a bit tense as the price shot up.. but thanks to you and aus.. I've learned to be patient. Closed my position for a 20 pip profit *phew*!

FTSE is going up.. from -212 it's now at -150.. so GJ's heading up.. but this could be temporary.

how much lower can it get before the next retrace back to the 240-ish region for GJ?

Dow should do another -250 or -300 today.. it's the damn feds pumping in money to the banks.. that might slow this GJ fall down a bit. If all the banks hadn't come in together, this would have easily reached 235 or lower.
