A Steady Equity Curve
Watch how the equity curve develops with total consistency over a simulated account balance of $1,000. Although the goal was a modest 1% return per month, the actual performance delivered an average of 3% per month —Yes, 3% monthly, significantly exceeding expectations.
Minimal Drawdown, Maximum Efficiency Even with this above-average return, the system maintained an extremely low drawdown.

A simple change in a few variables
To address this, I implemented a spread filter that prevents the EA from placing trades during inappropriate conditions with widened spreads.

Therefore, I added a time filter that prevents the EA from executing trades during the 00:00 market open, and starts reading the market only after a more stable period begins — up until the close of the U.S. session, which is when the most impactful economic news is released.
