Time for an update on the FxMath Apex Aurum beta test. I've been running the EA on an account to monitor its performance in a live environment, and I want to share the details and key statistics with you all.
The goal is full transparency, so you can see how the strategy operates and what kind of results it's producing.
Performance Summary

1. Test Duration: July 3 to Present
2. Initial Balance: $10,000
3. Current Balance: $25,000
4. Total Net Profit: +$15,000
5. Account Growth: +150%

This demonstrates significant positive performance during the testing period. Now, let's break down the strategy rules that produced these results.
Strategy & Risk Management Rules
Understanding the "how" is just as important as seeing the final numbers. This account is running with the following settings:
1. Dynamic Lot Sizing:
The account uses a dynamic lot sizing model: 1.0 lot for every $10,000 in account balance. As the equity grew past the $20,000 mark, the EA automatically adjusted the trade size to 2.0 lots, effectively compounding the returns.
2. Trade Management Logic:
The trade management is intentionally straightforward and disciplined:

1. No Trailing Stops: This is a key design choice. The strategy is built to avoid being stopped out prematurely by the typical volatility and noise of the XAUUSD market.
2. Strict SL/TP: Every trade has a pre-defined Stop Loss and Take Profit. The position is held without intervention until one of these two levels is triggered.
3. One Trade at a Time: The EA waits for the current trade to fully close (at either SL or TP) before it begins scanning for the next entry signal.

Analyzing the 41% Win Rate

1. Win Rate: 41%

At first glance, a 41% win rate might seem low to some traders. However, this statistic is the key to understanding the EA's core logic.
For this strategy to be highly profitable, the Risk/Reward Ratio (RRR) must be favorable. The +150% growth clearly shows that the average profit from the 41% of winning trades is substantially larger than the average loss from the 59% of losing trades. This is a classic trading principle: cut your losers short and let your winners run to their target.
This approach is designed to capture larger moves, accepting that there will be more small losses along the way.

Some accounts running FxMath Apex Aurum have just closed trades in profit. The target for each position is 1000 points (equivalent to $10).
We’ve observed noticeable slippage on certain brokers — in some cases, up to 10% slippage. This may impact net results and should be monitored closely during active sessions.

We’ve noticed slippage working both ways across accounts running FxMath Apex Aurum.
On the positive side, slippage sometimes favors us — for example, a trade targeting 1,000 points might close at 1,100, yet the system still registers profit for only 1,000.
However, when it comes to stop-loss execution, slippage tends to work against us. In some cases, trades meant to close at a 500-pip SL end up closing with a 600-pip loss. This behavior suggests that using tight stop-loss settings might make us more vulnerable to premature exits.
Take this XAUUSD example: 0.10 lot trade, entry at 3382.530, closed at 3394.270 — a movement of 1174 points. Logically, the profit should be $117.40, yet the broker recorded just $99.92.
This discrepancy clearly illustrates how broker-side slippage and execution quirks can work against traders in subtle ways.
