BTCUSD_ecn: $ 13.52 - 1.12 - 0.82 = $ 11.58
Account Profit / Loss: $ 11.58 - $ 0.11 = $ 11.47

GBPUSD: $ 7.66 - 3.00 = $ 4.66
EURUSD: $ 0.13 = $ 0.13
Account Profit / Loss: $ 4.66 + $ 0.13 = $ 4.79

Commission calculation is only available on closed positions. MT5 Commission Display: Key Differences from MT4

1. MT4: The commission column is visible directly within the Trade tab, allowing users to see commission charges on open positions and trades in real time.

The commission column was removed from the MT5 Trade tab for several technical and operational reasons:

1. Synchronization Issues with Broker Servers: One significant reason is to reduce synchronization mismatches between MT5 and broker servers, such as CQG. Since some brokers do not calculate commissions per trade on their servers (only trading profit and loss, not commissions), displaying commissions in real time in the Trade tab could cause inconsistencies between what MT5 shows and what the broker’s system records. This led to frequent and unnecessary synchronizations, so the commission display was removed to avoid these issues and ensure that only trading PnL is calculated in real time in MT5, matching the broker’s records1.
2. Commission Charging Logic in MT5: Unlike MT4, MT5 can charge commissions in various ways—sometimes splitting them between the opening and closing of a trade, or applying them at different times and in different formats (per lot, per deal, as a percentage, etc.). This complexity makes it difficult to display a single, real-time commission value for open trades in the Trade tab. As a result, commissions are only finalized and displayed after a trade is closed, which is why they appear only in the History tab2356.
3. Platform Design and Reporting: MT5 is designed to show full trade costs, including commissions, only once the trade is completed. This aligns with its more advanced reporting and historical analysis features, which are accessible in the History tab, not the Trade tab357.

In summary, the removal of the commission column from the MT5 Trade tab was primarily to avoid technical mismatches with broker systems and to accommodate the more complex ways commissions can be charged in MT5, ensuring accurate reporting only after trades are closed12356.

ALERT ANALYSIS - right down arrow to left up arrow.

It should be clear that 1a & 1b are in the same M1 periods as SHORT CROSS (T) with close @ 22:00:34
The splash Alert duplicates SHORT CROSS (T) with close @ 22:00:34 but with Server Time 00:00:34
The light blue vertical light indicates a terminal server time of 23:59 and 1c - splash LONG CROSS (T) 00:00 [:34] (server time).
It should be clear that the 1 minute difference is due to the bar M1 period.

1. 2a - TOUCH 21:54:00
2. 2b - LONG CROSS (T) 21:56:00 (left to right - 2nd green up arrow)

TOUCH 21:54:00 is not registered as SHORT CROSS (T) due to SHORT CROSS (T) 21:50:00
LONG CROSS (T) 21:56:00 has gapped above the MA but has registered as LONG CROSS (T) 21:56:00 due the last MA cross SHORT CROSS (T) 21:50:00.

It should be clear that 3a & 3b are in the same M1 periods as SHORT CROSS (T) with close @ 21:50:00

1. Brokers hosting MT4 & MT5 are at liberty to set their their own arbitrary values to a bunch of MT Terminal specifications and metrics.
2. Certain MQL4 / 5 code is designed to return the broker settings - if the brokers has these setting incorrect, then its a case of WTF ! Calculations will be BS.
3. To rectify broker failures requires adding corrective #include.mqh. These are primary for my own use and no time for thorough testing at present.
4. The upshot - the obvious. Go figure.
5. If the broker or their terminal maintenance crew have got it wrong and quote currency (base/quote) is at parity (1:1) with terminal deposit currency calculations will be accurate because there is nothing to translate into exchange value.
6. If the broker or their terminal maintenance crew have got is wrong and quote currency (base/quote) is at exchange with terminal deposit currency all calculation will be a sick shitting puppy.

Please only if you're already working on the EA for another reason.

Metatrader oversized resolution problem when installing on Linux with Bottles How to correct -
One:

1. close relevant Metatrader terminal
2. open Bottles

Two: select and open relevant Bottle - click Application
Three: expand Legacy Wine Tool Four: click Configuration to open Wine Configuration Window which can be hidden behind the above window:

1. select Graphics tab
2. slide Screen resolution to lowest dpi
3. click [ OK ] button and close

Five: open relevant Metatrader terminal with corrected resolution - if resolution needs to be adjusted up repeat steps One to Five on a stepped incremental basis - caution - the Configuration Window when reopened expands in size according to resolution and too high a resolution can result in so large a Configuration window - with no resizing feature - that the [ OK ] button is not visible on the screen and therefore unreachable to activate a new resolution setting.
