New Strategy 7 test is showing promise, still day one test.
This one is using the CS as one of the filters.

Looking good so far, no surprises during the night. Will see what happens when NY opens this morning.
Next week will be a full non stop week of testing to see how it does for a full hands off week.

Its a RAP for the day.
About 10 hours of trading.
Will start a new test on Monday and go for the whole week non stop in auto mode for a test of Strategy 7.
Strategy 7 has not been released yet but if all goes well next week maybe after that.

For those who have received my software and would like to be kept on the update list for new versions when they are available you need to post your findings on how you are using the software and your results so everyone in this forum can learn. I will be looking back to see who has been posting and showing interest in helping others and will update my list of users who will in the future receive the latest updates. So if you want to be kept on this list for the latest updates you better start posting. Any thoughts and ideas are always welcome so lets not be shy, post your thoughts and questions so we can all reach our target and avoid the traps and pitfalls along the way.

Its to bad we are stuck here in the Commercial section as I am not selling anything and being here cuts down on the number of traders who may join in, but I guess that is the way it is so tell your friends to come over and join as everything here is free. I don't have all the answers and I am learning just like the rest of you but together we can find the answers and reach our goal.

Thanks for your hard work

For the last week I haven't been able to use Mt4 because it wont load the manager anymore and then freezes, still working on it to get it back up and running

I havn't been able to post anything unfortunately.

Strategy 5 wins in choppy markets but loses when trends are strong (June-July). Strategy 7 trades trends—to keep it profitable, we must manage sudden reversals.

S9 Manager v10, Strat. 5

Installed since Jul 1 till 23 2025 on my VPS, Non stop trading. Since installation I have not touch this.
Initially went to large drawdown, but gradually within the past week it has been recovering the account.
We'll see how it goes till end of this month,

Hi Steve,
At the very begining of an MT4 install you have the opportunity to direct where to install it too. It is easy to miss and then the darned thing installs in Programs. If you have the folders, just direct the install to the folder. Once install completes, go to the folder, right click on terminal.exe and instruct it to create a shortcut on the desktop. Then you can add the (space) /portable (all lower case), instruct the MT4 to open maximised (if you wish) and then left click on "Change Icon" and then go to your install folder and click on the brokers icon, hit "Apply", hit OK and the panel will close. Now you have the brokers icon on the desktop. I put my icons first onto the toolbar and then into another desktop folder where all the MT4 start up icons reside, in addition to what you have placed on the toolbar. Gene's system is a bit heavy on resources so I don't know how many instances your computer can run but just know it is resource heavy and watch your loading.

Try that and let me know how you go.

I would suggest you go into User/app data/Roaming/metatrader/ 25-7134-9817349184 or whatever the hell it's called and delete the lot. That rubbish from normal installs may be giving you this trouble.

Did you run sfc /scannow ? If you have an OS issue, anything might be happening.

I can't read the screen you posted on my laptop - going to another machine

OK, uninit reason 8 - I have no experience with these MT4 "internal" problems - I can only suggest you clean out all the Metatrader junk, check your OS has no issues and start from scratch. But the PC must be CLEAN and fully functional

It has been up until now, I did what you said created the folders, sent the install to Blackbull 1 folder, all went to plan, which isnt in the program folder.

Ive never had this problem before, when I created the short cut the icon was on the toolbar already after the install, so I went to properties lime you said and added the /portable, that worked out fine.
