Trading is kind of boring. So many time, surrounded by hopelessness I face the market with uncertainty. Trading is not always fun. There are many challenges and skills need to be obtained to survive in the market. Further more, market complexity keeps growing, followed by more instruments are introduced in the market such as cryptocurrency.

No body knows the fate of our financial market. We are intelligent being can only adapting our skill and perspective to the market evolution.
Here is the place I keep my trading log, about my thoughts, trades, progress of developing a trading system and other notes. Hoping these can bring a little vibe to whom like to walk on a path of a trader.

Thoughts: PA with BB

After a long discussion, I'm finally convinced with the use of BB for PA. I validated the perspective last night, it apparently show a good result on HTF. I only tried it in EURUSD. I think, I have to focus on the logic first.

When I used HTF, the result is good for 2022 up to 2024. The result was different when I used LTF. I stopped out on 2025. That means I have to focus on my analysis on HTF. Base on HTF, I then decide my position on LTF.
I will try it again back to hotel.

Trading is always a very difficult thing to do. I try to create a system that I can be run with minimum supervision. I have nothing more to rely on, I can't wish others to help. I can only enjoy my journey alone ...

Thoughts: Sharing Trading Method

I love japan, especially the transportation system. Hardly can find a substitute for this amazing country. Singapore can be a good competitor, but the effectiveness is still no match. But don't get trap by its advantages, there are always the opposite things. Life in Japan is so tough. Working and culture, will always a burden for those who don't know what hard work is. Working until late night is not a joke.

Those are I get from a short conversation with my client. They work hard almost everyday. They drank a lot, I couldn't compete. Luckily, they understood my weak stomach can't compromise, while Sake and Umeshu were served, I only drank Ramune. In some culture, it's impolite for not drinking the same liquor with the host, but luckily they understand my condition pretty well.

I'm a little bit high from a couple boost I had. I shouldn't drink much since I still have to manage account, but I always know my limit.

I'm really honored to meet senior trader. We share our perspectives each other. Even we never met before, we share the same perspective. This also make me believe, most profitable traders have the same principle.

I'm trying hard to keep my focus against alcohol I drank. My partner brings me Acacia Honey. It's good enough to bring back my consciousness.

What I want to share here, a good momentum to enter the market. A trader have to be patient, we have to control ourselves, to be worthy to have earning from market. After US unemployment, the strong fall always give us new opportunity. We have to wait the momentum, never miss a chance, never distracted by anything.

Be persistent, even when our condition is not perfect.

Thoughts: How A Trader Survive
Tokyo, July 4th, 2025

It's 3 o'clock in the morning. I just finish my discussion with my team. From my discussion with clients, I have more information about trading styles. There are too many styles, very difficult to define them clearly. But, I will try to organize them, as I'm writing a book about trader's journey.

Trader is like a soldier. Their skills come from different backgrounds, making distinction from each others. Even though their skill are different, looking at the same market, there will be similarity to them who can trade successfully. some use indicator(s), some rely on patterns. Patterns can be candle stick formation or price movement. I'm an example of trader who use price movement to analyze market.

I like to learn new methodology, it's not because I'm not confident to my skill but I like to explore new thing about trading. I always believe, in order to survive, we have to keep learning. Updating our skill is the only way to improve ourselves, adapting the market. As a trader, to survive in this field, we have to upgrade our knowledge, for this, we really have to be passionate and eager to involve in to the fullest.

These are the advice I gave to my client, when they asked me how I can keep my performance for such a long time.

I have to sleep now, I have to rest for my flight to Singapore.

Thoughts: Best Instrument for Wealth Creation

It has been more than 4 hours sitting. Luckily the WIFI is good enough, so hopefully the data plan will be enough until I'm landed in Singapore. Today is US Independence Day, all economic activities will be hold for awhile. I can't expect a lot for today market, so I have to move my focus to other markets. Such as Stock Market and Cryptocurrency.

I'm wondering which instrument is the best for generating wealth. In the past, we only had Stock Market, before retail Forex was introduced later. There are still many people create wealth from Stock Market while younger generation relies on Cryptocurrency. So, will it still relevant until now? How about Forex market, future? How to compare them?

I don't know the exact answer, as they are different product, with different characteristic. I was asked a lot about this matter, as many our clients are from older generation. I'm not Superman, who can earn big in short period of time. As an older generation, my thoughts are always simple, manage fund and grow it safely. I met a lot of talents who can turn fund to tenth folds in short period of time. Making money is so easy, make me feel so tiny among them. Probably, this is the benefit of being young. As the old generation, I only can see from far away, enjoying my own profit from market.


Weeks ago I met a young man who create his fortune from stock market. His performance is very impressive, beyond my imagination. While I also met a very young man, bellow 20, has asset more than 2 million USD from Cryptocurrency.

Nowadays it seems making money is a very simple, isn't it?

It's useless to think that much. Nothing much I can do to change, I can only keep learning and enjoy my journey. We have to know our limit, it's not about performance we are looking for.

Thoughts: Additional Risk Management
Singapore, July 5th, 2025

After a long trip and sleep, I finally active again. I'm eating breakfast in local food center, hawker center, Maxwell. Trying to blend in local, always interesting. Singapore is always a nice place to visit, but I still like quieter place.

Weekend is important days for Singaporean. It's family day after working hard for a week. That's why I am very appreciate the broker who willing to setup a business meeting today. I have to leave Singapore tomorrow, continue my journey.

Singapore as Asian business hub has a complete facilities and trusted. The regulation in Singapore is indisputable adequate enough to run any business different level. The protection is one of the best on the world, as long as the company has no issue. We may check it with local authority before we start.

Having online services, why should I visit the company personally? Simply because I can't tolerate any mistake on my age. Having a deal face to face is different compare to a deal by email. Facing the person we can define a risk better compare to online. With the amount I'm about to put in, I have to validate the broker and if possible specific request for my own safety. If the institution isn't agree, I have to find others. Precaution is important to survive in this field. We can't randomly trust a company, I had been fooled by many well-known companies before. I was hesitated to speak my mind, believed them unconditionally. Lesson has been taken, I don't repeat the same mistake.

After having many conversation with brokers, I understand that with or without regulation, every broker has their own operating rule. So a short interview is required to make sure how the company is run. We also can understand how the fund is being kept and secured. From here, we can arrange some mitigation plan. This is part of my risk management. We are not passively rely on regulation, we also have to know how to protect our fund.

Technicality: Trader Profile for Starter

Successfully dealing with market, we have identify ourselves in advance. As a beginner, influenced by fear and doubts, the best methodology is intraday trading. Reason is the risk is minimal, strategy is simple, result can be seen instantly. The only problem with intraday strategy, the person has to be detailed in market analysis. This one is difficult.

Most beginner will jump into more aggressive strategy due to the urge to make more profit faster. Some of them will success while most of them buried by market. The myth of a trader will be self-fulfilled. Traumas give bad memory, creating horrible history around trading. Lack of good mentor and abundance scammer add more horror stories around it.

Starting this journey, we have to prepare ourselves, our profile. Trading is cruel, without good preparation, hardly we can survive. So simplicity is the beginning is a must. The element to consider for simple setup is:

- Risk & Money Management (RMM)
- Trend Detection Methodology (TDM)
- Market Positioning Signal (MPS)

We can have various trading methodology by rely on these three. None of them superior, we only have to fine tune the strategy, later it will become our skill. Some will say "experience".

RMM is important as we need to find out what the best for out trading system. Risk can be base on fixed price movement or pips, or percentage of our capital. The more experience we are, more complex we can develop RMM. This is the most challenging part in trading. Our success, mostly rely on RMM we have.

TDM is important as for us to identify global market movement. By implementing good TDM, we can asses our trading risk and upgrade RMM into next level. There are many methods can be use for TDM, we can use patterns or indicators. Without understanding TDM, our position will be random, we are actually gambling with market.

The last is MPS as for us to decide when to open position. It's tools for us to evaluate our methodology and then improve it. In the beginning, surely we will hit a lot of losses, but having a rule, we can see our mistakes, and know how to avoid mistakes.

Thoughts: Trading Aspect
When we open a position, we mostly don't think much, only focus on Target Point (TP) and Stop Loss (SL). Other important thing is aspect. Breakdown the aspect, we can analyze and building statistic for our strategy. So, aspect will be very important to enhance our skill.

From trading aspect we can define our position type, winning rate, level of risk and finally the nature of market during our position. Having more parameters, we can filter out risk base on our profile.

Defining trading aspect, one has to know how to analyze Support and Resistance (SnR). When we are trading rely on indicator, we can hardly know trading aspect. Trading aspect will help us to define:
- Position Type: breakout, correction, reversal, pullback.
- Market Condition: Trending, Sideways
- Market's Phase: AMD
- Liquidity Area for potential to Buy and Sell.
- Market Participant at the time.

Thoughts: Trader Vision

Becoming a trader we have to follow our passion. We are not racing, we are building our future. Building need time, with a clear vision in mind. This is what I put in mind everyday.

I remember 20++ years ago, I started my trading journey using IBFX, with MT4. I only was just learned how to trade double top / bottom on USDJPY, 5 minutes chart. I took only 15-25 pips each position. I had doubt at the time, questioning on how to be rich by taking only 15-25 pips, trade only 2-3 times a week. I was felt being scammed, but no proof to complain.

Unsatisfied, more and more courses I took but the more courses I took, more doubt I got. I never found holy-grail, instead of holy-traps, sucking our money. Stunted with the progress, I took day to analyze my what I got from the courses. Feeling so desperate, I stop for awhile, anger with the mentor as they taught me garbage more than knowledge, I started my journey alone.

I had doubt at the time, if there is someone who can really live from trading. The reality was so far, even when I asked my mentor to show me his trading record. So i could only pursue my dream with loneliness and doubts.

Nothing is easy, with lot of anxiety and facing so many depressing moments, I finally know how to trade the market. Vision of a trader is very important. Cutting off our urgency to make money will make use more objective to see market. Relaxing our mind will give us clarity to see market. These are the reason than make me see market properly.

Patient is a must for every successful trader. Knowledge is the vehicle to start the journey. Passion is the only friend who will accompany us always. Finally, vision is the fuel to reach the result. My vision is simple, I just want to be able have alive from trading. I will do everything to make it happens.

Again, nothing is easy. But, finally I got the answer for my own question.
