Looking at the difference between Mt4 and TV setup it seems MT4 is a bar or so slower and that's going to throw everything off

So everything is really the bb Squeeze i think, has yours got a linear regression period of as well as BB Bands of 20 with a volume weighted MA
BB Bands deviation of 2 Keltner period of 20 with 1.5 spacing using close price ?
Please check your Tv indicator settings and let us all know , thanks

Trade Breakdown — as always, no cherry-picking

  1. Trade 1: -1R
  2. Trade 2: -1R (Not an ideal trade. We did see a liquidity sweep with a wick and a bullish candle — could’ve been a decent entry. But to avoid hindsight bias, we’ll count it as a loss. Still useful for context.)
  3. Trade 3: +2R
  4. Trade 4: +2R

Total: +2R

Agree 100%, that's why this methodology should work !

We don't need to hit the lights out every day! I risk 0.5% per trade .... every trade if i make 0.5% per day I am a very happy man , that puts 10% into my account every month !!
It might not sound like much, but get funded and its not about how much money I can make ..its about how much money can I loose. What you could do is once you get to R1 close half your position and let it go to R2 then you cant loose. Its all about your edge and the numbers etc.
Trade $200k account and make 5% per month ...its plenty

100% agree... At 5% a month on a $200k account, you’re winning. Simple as that.

1. I'm afraid this way of setting SL and entering on such a small TF - is only a theory drawing on a history chart Because in real life your SL will be shot by the 3rd candle and|or spread and|or slipage...

2. Counting R's - the same theory, because they are different trade after trade, so it's not a counting something real like pips by day or % by month.

3. Let me not comment "200k trading accounts" on ForexFactory Trading Systems forum

Mate to start with ur entry is wrong. As i mentioned yesterday you have to enter after 2 weak bars on histogram. Entry was after the doji and it will not takeout your SL for this instance. Check what Rishee posted and compare ur chart.

Understand it is different in real life. This is why we should trade in a real account. Even with 0.01 lots this will help you tremendously. You can read many books and watch videos how to drive a car, but you wont be able to drive it unless you get behind the driver seat and drive. You will have cases where ur SL hit by one pipet or TP missed by one pipet.These things all happens in real accounts.

Counting R is more common factor instead of count %. You can have one trader with 0.5% risk per trader and one with 1% risk per trade. Same goes to pips. You can make 1000 pip trade risking 1000 pips. Thats a 1R trade. or you make 1000 pip trade risking 500 pips. Thats a 2r trade.

Mate, Create any tradeexplorer or similar tool. What will it count? Lines on a draw? "R" letters? No. It will calculate profits in pips or percentage.

When you ask any HR about a job contiditions, do you want to hear "We pay 12 "sallaries" in a year" or you want to hear "We pay $$$ in a year"?

About SL. Nobody sets SL right on the top of some little previous bar on such a little TF working with real money. Even if it is 200k

I was just explaining you the difference. You may use R, % or even pips. Whatever makes you feel better. No one is stopping you doing that.
Since you are here do you have a better system which you define as a perfect system ?

1. SL must be (little bit) bigger then a nearest local swing => market will hit them during swipes and traps but it will be really more rare.
2. Count real week or month result in pips! Nobody is interested in your depo size and % of it. "R's" are very different from trade to trade - it's a selflie.
3. All your oscillators are saying "ok" already when bbssqueeze says "yes". They are just selfsupporting dublicates in a process of the trade opening. Want more filters? We have to use other algorhitmes of calc. But bbsqueeze is almost enough because every oscillator will fake in a long trend.
4. As I said earlier BB breaking inside - is a problem on every pullback. Somehow optimized model is using not only bands but a mid line also.

If BB narrows, then price is attaking the mid line - here is the minimal cofirmation of the reversal movement.
This is what we have to opimize\test\fix\use\maybe_delete\maybe_forget\maybe_find new - we'll see.

Please read what i wrote. I never said just only use R, what i mentioned was it is a common factor. We are discussing a system here and trying to see how everyone trade and how each currency pair perform. Lets look at the 3 factors we talk previously.

Pips : i trade XU and you trade EU. I made 1000 pips. You made 100 pips. Can we measure this as a common factor ? Same goes to losses.
% : I risk 5% and make 10%. You risk 1% and make 2%. You may feel better to see 10% gain vs 2%.
R: I made 2r. You made 2r.

Same goes when you compare different currency pairs for the same trader.

You may use whatever the factor makes u feel better. It's ur own measurement.

No i dont have a perfect system. This is why i am learning.
Hope we can leave R behind now and focus on the system it self.
