I agree with Vidvad. I work a 9 - 5 job and am trying to find what works best for me. Right now I am in the middle of my 20 day session to get my mind set for trading.

Here is a zoom in view of the NY trading window. The first trade would have been SAR'd (stopped out and reversed) when the candle after entry closed both RED and below the 50% of the OR bar. I basically am using Stacey Burkes timing windows amended to start 15 minutes before the stock exchanges (Tokyo, Frankfurt, and New York) open. Method is fixed bar, strategy is breakout. Simple rules that can be figured out from the charts I posted. I'm not suggesting anyone trade it. I'm just using it as an example of how you can get creative in your exploration of the ORB/Mebob, i.e. FIXED bar method once you are proficient in the disciplined application of the method over a solid 20 trading days or so.
As blue has said, the secret of this thread and the method discussed is in the execution. For those who play golf, it is similar to Ben Hogan's "the secret is in the dirt."

June 6: +2R, +2R, -1R, -1R (keep in mind that the latter two trades were NYC session, with larger ranges, and thus larger "R." So it looks like a +2R day "on paper" it was a -$125 day across the three sessions, or about a -.5R
Again, this is only meant as an example of how one can explore the fixed bar method. ANNY bar on ANY instrument during ANY session is potentially an edge waiting for one of us to find and exploit it.
I would focus my attention on the first 1 to 2 hours of the major financial center opens (first 1-3 for Europe as London comes an hour after Frankfurt).
