Risk management--> time--> bias--> level--> entry setup
Without risk management most strategies will fail. That's why number one.
Then comes strategy executed at right time and location which is confirmed by entry setup.
I leave you with a famous quote that everyone has heard:

New trader here, and even though my trade volume is at the minimum, I must say it’s been fun. I like scenario that challenge my mind and forex trade pattern seem to be a good fit. The fun of prediction exercise with little experience I have from reading and following other traders has truly help me build confident. I’m 33 years old from Nigeria. It funny to think that I’ve been around internet nearly 2 decades and I never given forex trade a chance. Honestly I can make this a fulltime job and ready to share my idea and follow professional ideas. I believe i’m a good candidate for this trading because i can be around computer all day analaysing and seeing market movement, I’m open to making new friends. God bless

Hello everyone and happy weekend! I wonder what your biases towards UJ are. The intraday close showed signs of rejection, but other timeframes remain bullish. I plan to go long on a pullback to the support area on the H4 chart! Send my regards to Teacher ITB.

why intraday showed signs of rejection? what's the reasons?
what other time frames are bullish exactly? what is highest time frame that you see is bullish?
any higher time frames that are bearish?

so now you can see yourself thinking that the color of the candles for the 3 time frames determine whether bullish or bearish.
are they really bullish? do you consider impulse waves and corrective waves? do you consider or see any support and resistance when you plan to go long?

The short-term trend for USD/JPY is bearish (leaning toward decline), but there is obvious support below at 143-142.
Yes, since the overall trend is bearish, it's safer to trade with the trend and go short.

there is no right or wrong. it is all according to what type of trader you are.

say a swing trader would enter a trade using h4. all the time frames above h4 is in pullback phase.
sell when h4 is in premium market and closes below resistance. further more you can see qm in h1 and h4.

say a intra day trader would enter a trade using m15. h4 and h1 are in impulse phase.
buy when m15 is in discount market and closes above support.

regardless of time frames or what ever type of trader you are if you can win 2 trades and lose 1 trade, that is your method.
regardless of win or lose you trade your method just because you expect to win two third of the time.
most traders do not do that because of overthinking and fearful but if your method is tested by yourself, you win in the medium term. that's it.

from above post, gold was a risk buy on 1b1b breakout with flip and htf support but on NY midnight open. 135 pips.

in this case it is the d1 support (different from yours) which price had already bounced up from to go a further distance.
maybe a swing trade from h4 bullish engulf to h4 bearish engulf.
