As for USD/JPY – The simplest approach when a new, opposite signal appears while you're already in a trade is:

1. Exit the trade if the new signal is strong and clearly invalidates your current bias.
2. Alternatively, move your stop to break-even and let the trade play out while managing risk.
3. The best practice is to monitor the higher timeframe to guide your decision. In this case, on the 15-minute chart, USD/JPY showed clean bullish structure until it hit 2R, after which an initial sell signal appeared—a good point to consider exiting.

That said, take your time developing your style. Whether you decide to exit on signals, use break-even stops, or lean more on intuition—pick a method and apply it consistently. That’s where the real edge comes from.

1. Trade 1: Invalid setup – price had already closed above the baseline before entry.
2. Trade 2: Clean setup, but resulted in a loss.

This is the setup I missed this morning, and honestly, it's frustrating. I really liked this setup because the price was extended—you can clearly see that on the Bollinger Bands, Stoch RSI, and RSI. All the conditions were met. On top of that, the price reacted nicely at the previous day’s high, adding to the confluence.
I was waiting for at least one blue bar before entering, but by the time it appeared, the move had already taken off. The reason I’m sharing this is to highlight something important: while I usually wait for two confirmation bars, there are situations—especially when multiple confluences are present—where I don’t mind taking the entry a bit early. That’s just my personal style, though.

Break-even trade. I had to step away from the screen for work and missed the opposite signal confirmation. Should’ve exited then, but not a bad trade overall.

One solid setup, but I skipped it since it was just 15 minutes before the Asian session open.

Skipped this trade because the stop loss was too big, and of course, it went straight to take profit .

As I always say — if you only caught Trade 3, you might think the system doesn’t work. But with any other combination, you’d be looking at a solid return.
