Hello frankyol-thank you for the ea...maybe you can add the magic number feature for the T4W ea, so one could run it on different pairs the same time?
The close all trades feature would also affect only the current pair the ea is trading on...
whatever happens next....

Hi Holgi, I already have an impoved version of EA for MT4 & MT5 (for better backtesting), but currently I'm away from PC. I will post a new version, when I come back (at end of March). Franky

Bro any specific set for us30 i mean barrangepips value for
Range bars chart , the chart looks good on forex pairs as the default value is 1 and i hope it's right if not could you give me values cash, crytpo and forex pairs, if you could give an insight on this it would be really nice

Aren't they all positive, by definition? If you stop-loss is wider than your target, then for sure the R:R will be less than 1.0, by definition, but it can't ever actually be negative?

A really high win-rate is always a good thing, for me.

It's weird how in forums, lots of people recommend a high R:R and some even say they never trade with an R under 2.0, and they even advise others to do the same(!!), while on institutional trading-floors, the professionals earning 7-figure salaries are typically doing what you do, and using a stop-loss wider than their target.

Good to see there are people still trading this system, after some years.

Not surprising, but good.

Are there people here using the same system but with a different MA or even two - rather than specifically the 100?

In a word, yes.

Not sure about "here" but I’ve seen many slight variants of this being successfully traded by pro- and semi-pro traders (some of them forum FORMER institutional traders).

Some older textbooks (1960s/1970s/1980s) teach this system with two MAs instead of the 100 one suggested here. I’ve seen an EMA-60/EMA-120 combination, EMA-75/EMA-150, and EMA-75/EMA-125 recommended. Also a faster version with SMA-35 and SMA-85.

They’re all the same thing, really. As "Minotawr" himself rightly commented much earlier in the thread, there’s nothing really magic about the 100: it’s just one variation.

As you’ve doubtless realised, it’s one of the very, very few long-term-reliable systems listed here, which backtests and forward-tests well and reliably, and has withstood the test of time over various different market conditions.

The people I know now, who are successfully trading this and/or very similar variants of it, are futures traders - but that (just like the MA details) doesn’t make any difference to its viability and sound principles.

Can u explain possible variation of this method? Variants? For example can I look for engulfing candles following the ema 100 rule?

I know the thread-starter isn’t still here, sadly.

I was wondering: are the people trading this system still using it with a 1:3 risk/reward as recommended on the first page, or some different kind of risk management (and what)?

Hey!
I just came upon this today, been looking for strategies for a while now lol.
Thought I'd give this a try on the D1 timeframe, makes it much easier to find trade opportunities. I actually have a short active on USDCAD right now.

I'm trading the OG system as explained in the first post, with a 1:2 RR.
