Disliked{quote} Thanks for replying, maybe this is all related to the fact it's a demo account, maybe on a live one the point value would have my 100 point bricks produce 100$ each (wishful thinking![]()

DislikedMy beautiful position, which reached more than $30, had flipped on me, which I kinda expected (interesting levels and such like and well, I'm still trying to process the idea of me actually gaining profits and not simply trading all over the place and criticizing myself for not being disciplined, bad at trading and all the "regular" things all of us inside my head are telling me) I was very proud of me not changing my SL, I was grumpy and accepted the fact that I might close this position at a lost and it might still happen How do you guys deal...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Reamasesa, you've been busy whilst I have been idle! I've been away from it , catch up today. You are right - psychology is everything! It took me a long time to really grasp the psychology of trading and controlling emotions. Its like meditation, or mindfulness exercises. It is possible to understand the principles, but it takes a lot of practice to execute, years of practice I think to become a black belt - I'm not there yet but I keep working on it! So don't beat yourself up - roll with it, accept defeat and embrace the wins.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Just have a plan and stick to it, if your plan historically is good then trust it. My Plan is simple, my rules even simpler, I miss big swings and I also get hit on retraces but overall I believe my plan will win more than it loses so you just stick with it. Hardest thing is to apply logic, i.e in backtest you don't know or see big news events, like NFP on Fridays etc, you just trade to the chart but in realtime you have ages to think about it and be 'sensible' and avoid the news whereas in actually fact you are doing something different...Ignored
DislikedDax Short, going ok but expecting resistance at 239 so might close early {image} Update, just moved SL to BE so its a 'free' trade now. Its had a few pushes into 239 so I'd like to hope 238 will be possible. Update2: it bounced/retraced and hit the SL so made a little but not a lotIgnored
Disliked{quote} It didn't but I got a small win. If I had left the setup alone (contradicting what I said to Ream) I would have got a decent amount but good to learn without a loss. I am currently short again at 24049 on a demo today. Demo becuase I messed about with yesterdays setup so if this one lost I would have kicked myself and had a bad weekend + school half term next week so limited trade management time. My TP is 23950.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Nice entry David, I am currently down/loss on the small rise before the dip which I went long on then did not enter the short. Currently in another long which is struggling :-/Ignored
