Thomas Laubach's research and support of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) helped us better understand monetary policy, and it is fitting that this work will continue today in his name. Thank you to the authors of the papers, to the discussants, and to our panel participants. He is hinting at a change in the inflationary ground rules that are currently driving the Fed rates. This is a big deal and I think the chances of a rate cut just doubled.

30Y yield was just at 4.993%. Thanks to the Fed buying it all, yield started to drop. Otherwise, it would have gone above 5%. When central banks decide to stop intervening in the debt market (buying it all), the system will collapse.

Nope still committed to 2% inflation, 2.2% not good enough

I think those guys could be easily replaced by AI, it would be much cheaper and the output would not be worse, rather better ...

These aren't guys or gals, these are things/creatures! Nothing human about them except their look and for some of them not even their look. Google some of the Feds and take a good look in their eyes. For eyes are the window to the soul.
