A Week - Performance Stats
PVSRA TVT 1/3 aDtr 21 - Daily Ranger

This week, there were no significant changes to the system other than TP/SL now being managed by EA Auto BE. However, we still lack a percentage trade pad to open trades easily. Over the week, the system generated a return of 2.0%, with a maximum balance drawdown of -1.4% and a maximum balance return of +3.5%. The win rate was 80.6%, with 31 closed trades: 13 trades closed at BE+2, 6 losses (3 full losses), and 12 winning trades (5 full wins).

Some errors persisted, such as entering trades too early at the start of Range 2 (instead of waiting for London Open) and opening more than two trades simultaneously before their risks were adjusted to BE+2, resulting in simultaneous exposure exceeding 1%, and use BE+2 feature too early before reach 33% TP. Some trades were closed prematurely because rollover period (no rules is mentioned in system rules). Another fundamental weakness is that sometimes poor choices are made in selecting the two trades or setups with the highest probability out of the 22 available currency‑pair options (which is this week’s average).

I likely won’t update the rules further, but all necessary research is compiled in this thread. In the future, it could simply be rewritten into a standalone trading system under the Forex Factory Trading System section. I believe this approach at least demonstrates to newcomers the process and time required to design a trading system tailored to one’s own needs, even demo testing should be treated in a sophisticated manner.

Gaming Prop Firm Update May 3, 2025

In the gaming prop firm world, Fx, Blueberry Funded and Instant Funding still hold the title for the cheapest 25k static challenge, with no competitors in sight. Both firms also offer MT5 and operate as broker-backed gaming prop firms. However, from an industry standpoint, there are still no challenges offering 7% TP (Take Profit) and -7% MD (Maximum Drawdown). All existing 1-step static challenges remain at 10% TP and -6% or -8% MD.

Slowly but surely, over the past nine months, rational, low prices have begun to dominate the market. Ratings are also expected to improve further, especially if more of the convoluted rules are eliminated, rules are made simple because 99% will lose in time—that’s certain. Don’t let the insanely difficult randomness be sugarcoated with sweet, toxic psycho talk, just to sell something. It’s only a matter of time before the industry’s major players face serious competition and the lag behind. Meanwhile, the rest fade into obscurity and noisy.

World Economic Outlook Update (April 2025)

There are 2 important metrics:
1. GDP per capita, current prices (Purchasing power parity; international dollars per capita); and
2. Implied PPP conversion rate (National currency per international dollar)

Most traders have the mindset that specializing in one currency pair or trading only one pair is ideal. However, when the setup they’re waiting for doesn’t materialize or their so-called 'Edge' pattern fails to appear, their trading becomes a forced act of ignorance. In contrast, if they scan all 28 currency pairs, they may sometimes find their Edge pattern perfectly forming in another pair. This also applies to other instruments that have their own self‑similarity groups.

The Stop Loss (SL) has been removed and reinstated, and the Take Profit (TP) has been adjusted, after 1 hours, to include the swap value and commission.
