a bar at a special function at which the drinks have been paid for by the host or are prepaid through the admission fee.

with trading I 100% agree , wait till the bar is closed. Also drop down to a smaller time frame and see whats happening

Lately there have been no signals on Daily that I would take. So to get some action I will on monday use H4 in stead of Daily. Then trade it on M15 or even M5. Just to get some action in this odd market.

My setup next week.
In this case shorting:
H4

  1. Trend must be South. Using trendlines/Channel.
  2. Indicator "Double Ribbon" must be Yellow on M5, M15, M30 and H4.
  3. MACD must be red.
  4. TrendCCI must be red.

M15
Trade the short when a bar crosses EMA20 Low.
Hidden SL over EMA20 high. This means don't let the wicks take you out, Only close of bars.

Exit: To your risk appetite.

RRW 1:1.5 will give many winners and many winners is good for your stummock.

Do not trade too large bars.

There is a lot of nice MTF colour rows out there. My problem is as usual, that I like using my own, as I know how they work. So I made the Double Ribbon indicator myself.

It is very simple. 2 EMA's. The short one is a LWMA and the longer one is EMA. LWMA opposed to EMA gives a faster response.

double Fast = iMA(NULL, TF, FastEMA, 0, MODE_LWMA, PRICE_CLOSE, 1);
double Slow = iMA(NULL, TF, SlowEMA, 0, MODE_EMA, PRICE_CLOSE, 1);

Hi RiskFighter. Since lwma is more reactive than ema, why not create a macd that uses only lwma and a histogram cliver that somehow ties in with lwma? I'm currently using a combination of macd and cliver together with ema and I have to say that I'm getting good results. Maybe, if I want, I could tell you how it works but at the moment I would still like to experiment to be sure that it's not just luck.

Nice thinking. I will bear that in mind. I have a document where I note all such suggestions and interesting strategies. I will never run out of interesting things to do :-)

The coming week I will do nothing but trade. After that I might play with your suggestion.

I look forward to hear about your tweak using EMA, CCI and MACD. It might be worth making an indicator or a robot?

I'll have to get to work on that this weekend. I'll quote you in a working update. I got a message from TV that I broke a guideline. I haven't revisited it for a few days, I will this weekend when I get some free time. I'll see what's wrong a post a new one.
I was gonna run some backtesting today on that script anyways. I've been following this thread from the start and enjoy the innovation it's having. Kinda feel like I wanna jump in with that. As afraid I am of jumping strategies in the middle of where I'm at, I'm intrigued and never anything wrong with running something new on demo for a while

Very fine Webb - welcome to the coding.

I am in the same boat. I should only be trading, but investigating new stuff always get me and my trading does often suffer because of it. Just yeasterday I found an old thread with another strategy which I think have a great potential. I have not investigated it, but I am itching. But for now, I tie my hands in order to trade and to facilitate this thread.

Here is my WinnerAlarm_3.

With the current settings the background will be Blue when:

 

  1. Close(Last bar) is over Moving Average.
  2. Low(The bar before) is below Moving Average.

Now we have a break up from the EMAhigh.

  1. Last bar is trending up.
  2. Clives CCI is green.
  3. MACD_2Lines is green.


Note that MACD_2Lines and Clives Histogram CCI MUST be present in the indicators folder.

Please let me know of any flaws.

I use the setup to identify which pairs are fulfilling the credentials for trading at current time.

I will watch H4. And pairs wich have a blue/red colour will be investigated at any close of the 4 hour bar. If the arrows shows same colour for M5 to H4 timeframes, I will goto M15 and trade signals.

There will be plenty of signals on the 16 pairs I have chosen, so I will have to filter the best of them. And even if my setup has acknowledged a pair, the reality is often, that this pairs is way to fluctuating and I will not trade it.

It looks like I need to do some object deletion.

Try this:

CTRL B
List all
CTRL A (Mark all lines blue)
Delete

Now change timeframe fourth and back once. Then it is ok.

I will look into the reason for this.
