Thinking of this as a target area, because there is a confluence of the R2 pivot point and my daily level.


There is an equal high on the 4 hour from April 14th at 19.250,00 & 19.256,00. There could be some resistance there.

We will most likely meet sellers up until 19300. Notice as well, share buy backs are likely to start around now.. late april.

Based on my experience, both FA and TA matters and both are inter-connected. But FA is the driver.
What are the key components of FA?
1- State of economy and in comparison to other economies: the current state of economy but way more important is the projection; market always trade the expectations then market deals with the fact.
2- Central Banks (CBs) policies and decisions:
- Interest rate level in comparison to other
- Free money in comparison to other
- How CBs responds with challenges and fulfilling their mandate
3- Country fiscal policy: Debts, Taxes and regulations
Always in comparison to others
4- Risks: e.g., war, pandemic, political uncertainties...
5- Time: The factor time is the one that is very difficult to master. I still fail it miserably!

So you need also to put any economic indicator in perspective and context; a green data does not mean necessarily GOOD and vice-versa.
All of these concepts will be digested and mastered by experience and time; it's not a recipe that you can replicate automatically.

Keep in mind that we're small retailers/fish in this ocean of sharks; we try to grab some peanuts with them.

I think that's it for today. Price won't close above the huge daily green candle. We still have few hours/days to conclude this impulsive swing.
In a few we have Google earnings.
I advice that you close your NQ positions if you're in. The knee-jerk move will be wide and there is no reason to risk anything.

Hey everyone,
Looks like there are some experienced traders here, so I thought I’d reach out for a bit of guidance. I’m pretty new to trading — been taking it seriously for the last 6 months — and unfortunately, I’ve blown several prop firm evaluation accounts during that time.
Right now, I’m scalping NQ on the 1-minute chart with a 10-point take profit. I’m winning about 70% of my trades, but my main struggle is defining and managing risk. My mindset is often, “The price is so close to my TP, it’ll come back,” but then one bad candle wipes out most of my gains. That’s usually when I tilt, make impulsive trades, and end up blowing the account.
It’s a pattern I keep repeating. My brain keeps telling me, “This should work — I win most trades!” But the losses hit way harder than the wins.
My question is: Does scalping work long term? And does my current strategy make sense?
I chose scalping because I honestly don’t have a lot of patience. Funny enough, when I do try to stay patient, I often take bigger losses. But when I’m not patient, the trades tend to go way beyond my original TP.
Also, I haven’t really been able to backtest this strategy because I trade based on how the current candle is printing, and I usually take market orders.
Any advice, feedback, or even tough love would be super appreciated. I really want to succeed in this business. Thanks in advance!

mostly trade continuation setups. My general approach is to wait for a pullback after a recent high, then look for a Fair Value Gap (FVG) to form. Once there's a sweep of liquidity inside the FVG, I enter on the continuation move.
The challenge is, I tend to enter on the first pullback itself — and while it often works, sometimes the pullback goes much deeper than expected. When that happens and price moves against me, I usually start DCA’ing (dollar-cost averaging) into the position to bring my average entry closer to the current price.
The problem is, I end up using a lot of my available leverage in these trades. If the move keeps going against me, I don’t have any room left to manage the trade — and that’s when I blow the account.

Just few points: Any strategy might work if you've clear rules that you consistently respect.
1- Your TF is 1min; Your TP=10 points
What is your STP? You seem do not have a STP and when price goes against you, you add positions to your loss.
If this is the case, you will loose.
So if your TP=10 points; hence your STP must be 5 points in order to be winning. Otherwise your losses will be higher than your profits.
2- In NQ, 10 points TP is too tight! Each 1min candle in NQ has at least 10 points! You should revise this.
3- From your second post, you don't wait for confirmation! as soon the price hit your level, you jump in! This is also wrong in particular when your TF is 1 min.
You should wait for at least three CLOSED candles to jump in the beginning of the 4th candle. These first 3 candles must close above your level if you're going long and below your level if you're going short. Also the 3rd candle should close higher than the 1st or the 2nd candle.
4- If you adopt the 3-candle confirmation, you may put your STP just below these 3 candles and your profit should be at least twice your STP.
5- Your objective is not to catch the best entry, but to make some money with the trend.

After a full green daily candle that closed just above the Trump 90-day pause green candle, both Asian and European sessions calmed the flow and price retraced up to 23.6-38.2 Fib.
I can see NY session tests yesterday high and continue down up to 50% Fib. Then price will resume the completion of the Impulsive swing of Wave 2.
So for today, it's most likely that we get an inside bar and this wave will be completed next week.

I am a full time scalper of ES / NQ & Gold Futures so I definitely know you can be profitable scalping for small profits..
But you need to raise your Winrate up to 78% min and long term around 83% to survive the scalping game. Also aim to keep your average winning trades larger than your average losing trades - this is what you watch mostly from all your trading data you will be studying every night.

As for stops, 15 Ticks is workable for NQ.
Personally I don't place a stop (I don't trade prop accounts so not answerable to anyone) - Instead I have a mental stop that works like this
I enter a trade and expect it to almost immediately go into profit, if not - get the FUCK OUT after 10 Ticks if the trade just looks WRONG.
I tag my trades inside Tradezella every night and I spend a hour reviewing all my trades to see where I didn't execute my plan. Letting a small loss build into a big loss will kill your dream to become a Full time scalper. It's the hardest part of our game, so you need to know when to fold'n.

The goal is to increase your equity by around 2-4% every trading day as a reasonably achievable target.

As for your strategy, that's up to you. Trading the FVG would work but getting higher than 78% win rate would be hard I feel.
Personally, many professional Scalpers like me prefer to FADE the market, not trade the trend. There is more money in Fading Future Markets with large trade size than trading Trends on small trade size. I was chatting to a trader last week that Fades spikes similar to me with 100 Lots of trading power and it's all used to Fade high volume spikes. These are my BIG DOLLAR WINNERS as well but good luck finding a trading strategy that offers you an edge.

PS - here is an example from my scalping this week looking at my Tradezella scores.
Win rate was 73% - a bit low
Profit factor was 3.10 - again a bit low for me
Tradezella was overall quite happy with my trading except for the most important stat - Average Win amount over Average Loss amount.
It was still positive so I DONE MY JOB OK.
My equity increase for the week was about 20% which is bloody good.
