I think the markets have been flat this week and its a bank holiday today and monday so london will be flat, started Manager Sydney open at the start of the week, i accidently restarted Manager so there was £11 in closed trades that were reset, so im about £37 up for the week, which considering market conditions isn't bad, now wondering weather to close or leave to run into next week, cheers Jon

What i forgot to mention, i observed a situation, where the EA placed a add-on trade after the open of a fresh h1 candle. This candle was also the exit signal for the whole progression of trades. So this new trade was only open for few seconds and naturally resulted in a loss of a few cents + comission.

Also in this Strategy 6 I will be using an entry that will be based on the Currency Strengths of the 28 default pairs rather than a swing point which can be hard to pin down. Will see how this idea works out. The exit I need to think about yet as it could be a basket target and then reset and go again with a new set of signals. Of course this idea with the CS would only work with the 28 default pairs.
There would also be add on trades that would use fractals as I presently use which gets you into more trades when a long trend is encountered.

Would it be an idea to also have the ADR add on technique to the already established swing point entry method, so the two approaches could be tested side by side?

Right now I use the fractal add ons once you are in the trade and in profit. But looking at the H1 of NZDUSD there would be a lot of entry points using fractals as it was in a long up trend. In this case I use just the next higher fractal, only if it is higher than the previous one. In this case I see 14 add ons over a 5 day period, this could be too many. Maybe I will change it to a Per Cent of the ADR and a max number of add ons, I have used this before in other EAs. These could be selected by the trader. I don't want to change too many things at once because then it is hard to see what is doing what. Right now I am interested in seeing how the CS works for the entry.

Hi All - I have run the 5 strats OOTB for two weeks and on all 28 pairs. Strats 1,2 and 4 have small profits between 40 and 80 $ but 3 and 5 are in DD. of nominal 200 and 700 respectively on 10k accounts. I think maybe the last two weeks of US turmoil help nothing. I have screenshots at weeks end but will not post unless requested as they take a lot of real estate.

The Manager is a really nice piece of work Gene if we can just find the right nutrition for it. :-)

Just as a thought, and I know it is not quite in the manner you see the market, but might be worth you having a look regardless, at Lims RSI approach.

I like this idea, I have noticed it is taking swing points on big trends and getting caught out which has lead to some huge drawdown

Trade Time: April 14 late night Eastern US time to April 18 market close

I wanted to test with lot size = 1. The Manager was up over $1200 at one point, but finished quite low for the week.

The two closed trades for GBPAUD and GBPCAD were manually closed by me after an unexpected PC reboot.

I have been playing with the idea of adding a Currency Strength option to The Manager. With it you would not need any open charts the Manager would open trades based on signals coming from the CM. You would trade them as a basket with a set dollar profit or account % profit. You would also be able to use the repeat basket function it would continue opening and closing baskets until you stopped it.
Has anyone used a CM and have you had success with it.
I will do some testing over the next fes weeks to see if the present CM logic can cut the mustered. LOL
If you have a CM that has worked great for you I could also give it a try and compare it to what I presently have.
To do this though I would need the mq4 file of it.
Here is a screen shot of what it looks like so far.
This will only work when all 28 default pairs are selected.

Gene, sounds great! I've attached the mq4 file for the currency strength meter that is part of the "Forex Profit Supreme System", located in the forum https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...trading-system and discussed in other forums.

Hi Gene and thanks very much for the update to v9, can i ask if when you were testing, did any of the 1h strategies work well for the $10 basket, or are we best to wait for the 15m strategy to be released for that, regards Jon

#4 worked well as it gave more trades so your basket could hit its TP quicker.
It also depends on the market as at times the market was flat for several days so I didn't gain any bakstes.
Then at times I had 4 to 5 baskets in one day.
The strange thing is I would run the same setup on demo and live accounts and get completely different results.
So testing on a demo account doesn't always mean the strategy is a good one.

Hopefully I can come up with a M15 as it would give more trades sooner so yours TP would get hit quicker and you would open and close more baskets. Just take a small bite out of each basket.

If anyone has a good M15 system they would like to share I am all ears and eyes. LOL

I don't use any decompiled versions.
Most of the CS meters use similar ideas they just change the colors and how it looks.
Will see how the present one I am using works.

Markets were ranging quite a bit last week, the difference between fast and medium strats was vast, fast took about 50+ positions and ended the week underwater meanwhile med strat bought euraud at the top and also ended the week in drawdown. Looking like there might be a pullback today... strange thing happened though, its been trying to repeatedly close the position but failing, any idea why this would be happening? - see screenshot

I have upgraded to V9. This basket was opened last Friday and still has some open orders. I smoothly switched from V8 to V9.
After the basket closes, will the indicators repaint to identify the latest entry opportunities? Is it necessary to manually reload the indicators again to get the newest entry opportunities?

Latest update: I canceled the profit targets for higher gains. However, the "Close All Charts" button isn't working—please verify. I need to reopen charts for fresh signals.

Just wanted to report basket close worked. S4 hit a target and closed down trades and has started a fresh basket now.
