tried a long with sl just under 1480 and it just went down a min after to take my sl but is this a break out? Not without 1474 though

i can guarantee you when the market is not moving just make a trade and market will move against you straight away

The EUR/USD pair stumbled today around 1.1500 after reaching nearly 1.1550 earlier. The drop was sharp but recovered some ground after bouncing from 1.1455. It now trades between 1.1520 and today's low, awaiting direction.

Tomorrow, significant news will hit, with the Eurozone releasing its PMI numbers first, followed by the US. Expect more volatility tomorrow. See you!

I reaad from Calendar that ECB's De Guindos speaks in an hour's time. Will it affect the Euro drastically?

The EUR/USD dropped to 1.1306 after the opening due to Trump's remarks (see news). The pair later found resistance below the 1.1400 round number following the drop and is currently trading between that level and today's low. The 1.1474/80 level should hold for potential further downside, possibly below 1.1300, but news is unpredictable, so proceed cautiously.

Going long here on a local retracement, long from 1.13850. I’m targeting 1.17. There is a very high possibility that this trade will NOT pull through but it is indeed the next jump that needs to happen if this bullish momentum is to continue. Swaps got worst with EUR lowering rates so if I am in a losing trade I will abandon completely.

Yields on the USD10Y remain elevated as this trade war continues. I do believe that at some point Europe will bail out the Americans last minute through mass bond purchases of USD before June for the USD refinance. If this is to occur, the DXY will regain ground accordingly. Remember, if the US falls to a recession/depression the global markets will follow. The ECB would rather cede ground on EURUSD than cause a collapse of markets their own citizens are heavily invested in. I believe this is my last long of the season before I start swapping my Euros for Dollars on spot.

Lets see what happens.

Eu pmi's came lower but mixed on expectations. EURUSD can't fly with these numbers but also is staying above 1.1360 - weekly pivot looking for more news perhaps that could help it advance and stay above 1.1400.
