DislikedIt wasn't intended to be a warning. What I would do if I was long from the 5 SMA. Is 1) put my SL below the trendline. 2) Maybe increase my position if it breaks out with a buy stop order.
If I was to do 1) I would make sure that didn't increase my risk more than 2%. I may need to sell some at the upper trendline to accomodate.
If I was to do 2) I would make sure that didn't increase my risk more than 2%. This can be accomplished by moving my SL on the first order to BE or another support level.Ignored
DislikedI had 2 long pos.

DislikedI know this is a little off the subject but does anyone use a broker that has less than 8 spread on the gbp/jpy? please private me if you dont want to answer in this forumIgnored
DislikedGBPJPY 1 PIP!
I have a broker..... efxgroup.com (introducing broker with MBTrading Futures) that offers this.
They have variable spreads and fixed commission. Hence, they are a legitimate non-dealing desk broker. Why, they don't make their money by trading against you through manipulating or lagging the feed or intentionally delaying the execution.... they make a modest commission on each order and in the long run it pays big time. IMHO
Most of their pairs are 1-3 pips and even ZERO when they are begging for your order. lol
Just checking at this very moment (when things are not too volatile) on their EFX Navigator platform:
1-2 pips GBPJPY
1 pip USDJPY
1 pip AUDUSD
1 pip USDJPY
1 pips GBPUSD
1 pips EURUSD
1 pips USDCAD
If I wait on some of these others they may even pop to ZERO or move to 2
GBPJPY is typically ranges from 1 - 5 pips. Don't remember ever seeing it above 5. They carry a bunch of currencies even some I've never heard of. like the USDKLG
Again, variable pips.... I don't recall seeing any of these ever get above 5 even when it gets crazy. You'd have to check with the broker (website) for clarification to prove for yourself... with a demo account.
What's fun is to enter a trade and be EVEN at the start.
WHY THE GENEROSITY? It's in the commission.
I've played the game with fixed spreads and greedy brokers who stop hunt and lag executions, etc, etc, yada, yada, yada
Check it out.
It's the ONLY reason I am trading the GBPJPY in my noviceness. I've eliminated some of the pain from the moment of execution.
Still wondering how long I'll be.........

EFXGroup Commission:
$5 per 100,000 traded (1 standard lot)
$0.50 per 1 mini lot traded
$0.05 per 1 mico lot traded
All accounts have variable lot capabilities in their platform so it can be configured at any default level down to 0.1 mini lot
I’ve seen some other brokers that limit it 0.25 (of a mini) and you have to open a separate account.
Since the commission is a percent you can execute to you hearts content with smaller increment lots and build up as your confidence grows giving you the live trading experience that can otherwise never come with a demo account.
As far as rollover / premium rates you have to make your own comparison.
between 4:58 and 5:06 p.m. EST (Monday through Thursday).
During the rollover period, interest is added to or subtracted from accounts with open positions based on the annual Buy or Sell Premium rates.
Daily Premium Formula
Volume * [ (Premium Rate / 100) / 365 ] Example
100,000 EUR/USD | Premium Rate of -1.83
100,000 * [( -1.83 / 100) / 365] = ($5.01)
or
100,000 * (-1.83% / 365) = ($5.01)
