ok, thank you for the info...ya I think I will trade because I am starting to understand how it works. I have been doing a lot of research of top darwins and I can see that if you can manage to get around a 40% return in the first year then the investors will start jumping in creating your viral ticker. For this reason I want to get all the trades I can within a years time to try and reach the 40% return for the year.

Totally agree with that elevator analogy, it fits Darwin’s structure spot on. D-leverage under 2 is a solid target — keeps the risk tight and the score clean across the board. I’ve been messing with some basic EA logic around that too, but the real edge seems to be in understanding when to stay flat and when to scale gently. That 9.75 threshold for longer holds is fair, but like you said — playing below it keeps you way under the radar. A “Darwin” EA that auto-limits entries based on time-weighted leverage would actually be a game changer for anyone serious about building long-term investor trust.

Yes, people do not understand leverage and/or risk....I'm sure they wouldn't mind when they over leverage and only lose 0.5% instead of 5%?

The epitome of consistency. This is how you do it. 2-3% per month on avergae for 2 1/2 years and he's got 1 million AUM with endless potential going forward.

March was Meh, April was Meh. Thnx! to Tariff Man my pair mains just whipsawed and I got a few News releases that didnt go my way so it was a struggle month. The source account ground out a few percent but Darwin NO LIKELY! me sometimes losing with a larger size then recovering with same larger size. Also some of the trades lingered which DZero REALLY doesnt like and a few got clipped about 30% (I was glad it wasnt more). Tariff Tornado seems a little more baked in so this month looks rocky but not as Explosive! We also have 4 solid weeks coming up and the trading month ends on a Friday. My optimizations this month have Prez adjusted so I'm ready for these incoming empty container ships.

Ya, just like that, the trading dynamics have changed but like you, I'm tweaking my systems to cope and that effort right now is more like turning a big ship around using a tugboat. It's going to take time.

I am fine. I am trading with a strategy that requires 1:100 leverage - so I lowered the lots and risk. I will wait for months or a year to get paid by darwinex.

I am fine with one of my darwin's. 3 of them are not fine because my strategy requires higher leverage so- however I had to reduce the risk not to have margin call.

One of my accounts which are not fine is attached. Do you advise me to reset the account or will it cover the losses over the months? DD will be lower, because I reduced the lot size (risk) 60% lower. (To give an example, if I used 1 lots until now, I will use now 0.40 lot). Please take a look at the attachment and tell me if you need me to provide more screenshots.

15-20% DD is where I would cut it and start over. I actually blew my first Darwin last year after 2 payouts and like 2 weeks shy of Gold by OVERTRADING. You simply do not need to. Do you have any permanent allocations on any? In my opinion, they are the key to making decent money while building the track record, but you need multiples.
Darwinex is like trading a personal account the first year......you make peanuts, which is why so many fail....under capitalized to make decent money, so over risk and blow the accounts. It's not really that 95% can't trade, probably more like 60% can't trade and the rest simply don't have the capital to do so properly.
Hop in their discord and share the screenshot. There are several, very experienced traders there.

Hi pipmaster. What do you think about the attachment on Darwin risk? It is the worst of my accounts I posted above. Around 4 months I had one losing month. What do you feel about darwin risk? Is that good? And what do you feel about recovery? Lost month was margin call.

I wouldn’t bother by the risk too much, its double edge sword for both profit and loss. What I find is trading consistent lot so that the risk don’t fluctuate significantly.

Not sure if you caught this in the discord this morning, but I believe it is exactly the answer you (and many others) will benefit from......

 

    1. The only way to see and understand the "professional" way of managing money is through understanding risk which is measure by the BETA. No one here is reward for adding market risk to get higher return. It has to come from you ALPHA i.e the return you provide in EXCESS of the risk you take. You cannot improve your Darwinex by changing your risk as the risk engine will always adjust it up or down. The beginner retail/prop mindset is just to maximize return regardless of risk taken (leverage) The typical x% risk of capital based on stop loss is completely irrelevant. If I buy 10% position in ABC asset of a $100K account and make 20% I make 2% on the account You take the same trade with 20% make a raw return of 40% but you are no better than me. You added risk (beta) but not more alpha even if you earned 4% On a risk adjusted basis we're the same This is a very simplified version of it but carried over time our darwinex return would be the same. My multiplier would be higher than yours and we'd end up with the same returns If we traded the exact same way and at the same time. Playing with size to adjust return is pointless On the other hand if I buy XYZ and you by ABC same $ value same beta and you make more than me then you have provided alpha. Your higher return comes from your expertise or we both take the same entry on the same asset you capture 80% of the move I capture 60%...that's Alpha you generated more alpha than me hen your return will be better because ti wasnt based on adding more risk (edited)


    2. Most retail traders mistake cheap beta for alpha. Cheap beta is the reason Darwinex—and the professional investment world in general—focuses so relentlessly on risk-adjusted, beta-neutral performance metrics. When beta costs pennies, the only thing worth paying real money for is demonstrated, persistent alpha.

    3. it is the only way to capture talent vs luck

All you have to do to be successful at Darwinex is to constantly beat yourself at making money. You have to continually outdo yourself. You have to meet and beat your ATH to get ahead.
Tell me how you can get ahead with an ATH that is going backwards or lagging?
By controlling risk? By being right? Fine but whatever you do, impress yourself at becoming better than yourself every day.
