Another candle pattern I’m using is the Harami pattern, followed by an arrow indicating the trade direction.

In this specific case, I also add a 9-period moving average, and when the Harami pattern forms near the moving average—meaning none of the candles in the pattern are touching the average—that’s the ideal signal to trade.
It doesn’t matter if the arrow points up or down—once a Harami pattern occurs, trade in the direction of the arrow that appears on the next candle. Whether it’s a bullish or bearish Harami, always follow the direction of the arrow, and you won’t be disappointed.
This works because, as mentioned in the first post, the script detects candle acceleration to determine direction. So even if the market forms a bearish pattern, if the arrow points up, go long—because the movement, despite looking bearish, actually signals a market reaction and a reversal in momentum.
