Hi Guys

Just closed out all three stategies 5,4,and 3, after all the extreme volatility in the markets after Trumps rampage.

Here are the results, there was huge drawdown at times, but I was using $1000 accounts, spreads set at 3 and trades set at 0.01.

And they all survived

will you be opening anymore on any of the sessions or are you done for the week Steve ?

Gene whats your experience with this, if you have a nice win like say £250-£400 by Wednesday and you decided to click close all, would you just stop for the week, or maybe open one an hour into new york or even London, or do you think that's risky and best to leave till the new week ? Cheers Jon

Just my $0.02, Gene has in the past said that he lets this strategy run all week, sometimes more than one week

Hi blam, yes I recall him saying that now you have reminded me, which I get if you wait for manager to shut positions, but just wondering if you manually close all your positions out because your happy with the profit, say tonight then started a basket at say London open Thursday morning, I wonder how that would go, has anyone done this sort of thing i wonder ? I suppose we can allways test it on Demo , cheers Jon

Yes that's an interesting idea to test. I think if you want to close multiple baskets within the week though, the version (which I believe is in beta at the moment and not released to testers?) that Gene has demonstrated recently which is a setting in the manager that closes multiple baskets within the week, may be what you should hold out for

If you like crazy here is a M15 startegy I have been running this week. Just taking $10.00 Baskets. So far it has taken 38 Baskets. A lot of trades which make the Broker happy. LOL

Its up to you.
Right now I have a live account that just closed basket 5 for the week. I am just going for a session profit target of 1% of the account and then it closes down and prepares for the next basket to form. Right now it has no open trades but I see several stars that point to maybe some trades that may be close to opening. When I see a lot of stars that means possible trades I will just let it run. But if there are none I may just take my money and run and wait for next week. Of course since I am basket trading at this time the situation is different from not basket trading.
With the version 8 Manager you need to restart after every basket but with the next version you can set ti to repeat every time a basket close which makes it nice since at times you may be away or sleeping and you don't want to miss out on some nice trades for your basket.

That previous post of mine is now up to 40 baskets since I posted.

Draw downs can get heavy at times but they always seem to recover if you can stand a little pain.
Of course MM plays a big role in deciding lot size and what to shoot for.
The nice thing with the manager you have many choices as to how you want to play your trading.

In reponse to your question, I only closed my trades because of the volatility, I came into profit and thought yes close these bad boys.

I think using it in normal circumstances, yes I would let them run.

I have now started the Manager off again,.

Hi Gene, A few things I've noticed on #2 strat:
-Did you say it was normal for the manager to switch off trading at session close for the current version? I've noticed it arbitrarily happens every now and then, even in the middle of a session.
-This may be the way I have s9 set up but it doesn't seem to be taking a basket at the desired percentage, got a 60% basket last night while it was set at 20. I take it the strat has its own TP logic regardless of the basket? I've noticed it close out some trades for a very small gain while others it holds forever.

-A nice QOL feature would be a 'return to manager' button on the chart indicator so chart tabs can be switched off.
-Also it would be nice to get some prop firm safe strategies taking into account some of the following rules: restricting/minimizing daily drawdown (equity/balance based), red news filter, no martingale, SLs, weekend/overnight closing

Don't know if this is the holy grail or even how easily it would be to code but 2 potential scalping strats I have some success with: 4hr PO3 (mainly adpated from 'Faiz SMC' on YT) or 1/3/5 min QM pattern (inthebox's engulfing thread got me started with this): here are a few screenshots.


Low tf QMs are quite mechanical, they are best taken in htf supply/demand zones, the pullback after the breakout is almost always to 70% of the highest high or lowest low and is usually equal to the low/high prior to the lowest low/highest high. Target 2 or 3R but can RUN.

EURGBP sell from h4 resistance

This might be too complicated to code, maybe not mechanical enough, works at any h4 open but the beginning of a session is best and in a trend or the beginning of a trend (indicated by an engulfing candle).

Yes. Definitely. This actually I have asked before. Since this EA mostly focus on Forex instrument, this how I tweak this EA to work for me on the trades opening. It is good to have the EA can cover more variances instrument in the market. If the instruments more than SIX characters also not working here.

Hi these are my results for the week, I did close out all three vfast, fast, and medium on Wednesday
then restarted a fresh.
They are still running, I will close all trades and start again on Sunday.

In next version the "Return to Manager Tab"

Have built EAs in the past based on support and resistance but not real good luck with them as Sup and Dem seem to move around just like the swing points do and seem to reside in about the same place most of the time as the swing points.
