I use a TV indicator.. draws out any type of custom range that you want you could include opening lines 50% levels etc with it. An excellent indicator.

Personally I think the guy that it came from is a fraud.. so I won't publicly disclose the indicator.. if anybody wants it just send me a message and I'll let you know via pm.

Today trades:
DAX: 1 winner. Price hit previous level. SL was set at HI of reference candle.
ES: will update this post later. *update*: ES no trades taken, as price was near a support level.

Noticed the dax is less volatile than Nas and out of hours SP500. Great chart Bat. Very grateful for them.
After you have posted twenty charts ( please) I might have to reconsider the trading one instrument (SP out of and within hours) and cough up the data fee for Dax to enable in hours London market and New York trading
Lots of RED news about and tariff jitters reflected in volatility. No live trades from me for a while.

These were my simulated trades today thus far. You can bet your bottom dollar that had real money been on the line things could have well been different. It was fun though working on " if this - then that"

Well,,,, the 5 min ORB and MeBob pumped out the profits again today.

Follow your process. If you have a way to capitalize on these moves, if you so choose..
They can really make a difference to the bottom line and the equity curve over time.

I had a lengthy road trip for work today (unplanned and unexpected) and I don't know why but as I was getting ready to leave my house I remembered imantrading's youtube videos about his super scalping method and decided I'd queue them up in youtube to listen to them on the road. I ended up listening to them both twice on my way to my destination and again on my way home. This weekend I'll actually watch them (can't watch and drive at the same time lol).

There are some really good ideas in here that really resonate with me and what I'm building toward at this point.

Oh his style is a bit different.

I like his concepts though, adjust to bracket orders based on ATR and volatility. His philosophy is that price is either ranging or trending and your style should dynamically adjust depending.

His approach is very interesting, and reminds me somewhat of your method in other threads where you'd short the upper band and long the lower band or something like that.

With his two videos ringing in my ears I sat down at the end of the daya and applied his method (wel,, my understanding of his method) on a 5 minute ES chart.

Took about 20 minutes. Imantrading says he trades for only 17 minutes per day. Very basic: WHen the market apears to be consolidating, buy low and sell high. When the market appears to be in the process of moving from one level to a new level, trade in the direction of the move. Don't ask much of price action. Just take a 1:1 RR and let it go!

Using Brooks price action to distinguish consolidation from directional movement, used imantrading's method, and wow!

Of course it helps that Trump is burning the world's economy down so the ES is moving lots of points at a time.

It is really impossible to describe what I did using Ninjatrader as the way Ninja plots the executions and often mislabels them (calls some targets "entries" and some entries "targets" if you end a trade prematurely by manually flipping direction).
