When i see the 5650 (RoundNum) so close to the bottom (and the blue dashed line(?) as well) i would be very inclined to place the bottom of the box at that position. In that case you would not have been in the trade. I am well aware of the stretching nature of this remark, for it is not an inherent part of the method, but things only start to shine when you polish them.

Currently my screen shows a IOI + IOI + OII against the top of the day (note this is on MT5 the S&P cfd), for me this denotes an exit.

MeBob ftw.. took a reduced size me Bob long on the breakout. Reduced size due to the fact that price was very near settlement.


Took 10 points and called it a day.

I would be a liar if I said that sitting out that ORB doesn't bother me..
I know very well that there will always be another bus to come along.. etc etc.. and that I'm not going to capture all the moves and I'm going to miss out on many..

Even still it bothers me.. my thinking is I can develop methods and rules around these large range openings... And a large range trigger bar..

ATR... Scaling down.. and smaller time frame are what come to mind for me and my comfort levels...

imo today's ORB was high probability given the bullish behavior of the opening range, the three pushes down on globex chart helped too.

110 pt range so far... Yes I followed rules but I am truly not happy with myself... Obviously "my plan" needs to be better.

1% better everyday Blue..get with it !

I got 10 of those 110 and I'm happy. I know that my best timing window is 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Get in, get the money, and get out is fine with me. Every time I try to switch it up and go for the home runs they throw me out trying steal the catcher's mitt.

And the NQ can give 10 points very quickly if you sit and wait. I only use micros but they add up when you use two etc contracts. Like Vid says, get in and get out.

Its all about the trader. If you like a quick winning trade, take 10 and run. If you have the patience to go for homeruns, do that.

We re grabbing liquidity from Previous Quartal High although the price was pulling back.

I was waiting for nice short opportunity but now I have to wait until Extension Phase of price finishes.

Do you think that the price wanted to grab that pqh and go lower or we re going higher ?

What is your opinion guys, how to you interpret the current PQH break.

This isn't a thread for that type of question.

We are not here to predict. We are working on defining mechanical set ups that have no need for thinking.

It sounds like you're a leaf fallen from the ICT tree. There are probably similarly minded FF members in other threads here at the forum who would love to talk "liquidity grabs."

This is not the place for anything that has to do with ICT.

I mentioned previously I was looking at the 1min to trade and micros for large range days.
Todays OR was 32.5pts...I cant trade a full sized emini and risk that range.. I dont care if it
worked out yesterday or today.. I have found its just too much for me.

So scale down to the 1minute and micros ..and scale back up as I tune back in to this variation.

Today I waited 2 mins till after MRN which I do not trade thru...2 mins is just a rule I have used
trading RoadMap for yrs on the 1min,,,
Anyways,,,stop was 3pts above the Equity open

Entered with 3 micros
1st off 10.5 pts 2nd at 14.25 pts and third at 20.5 pts. $220 approx..
Will happily take it...and keep running with this and bumping the contracts up.

Happy with my performance today..Followed process and thats what matters..
If you cant trade successfully small you cant do it big...

As the saying goes Process over profits...

MeBob hit for two +10's today. Some days are MeBob heaven, others feel like purgatory. We'll know better after a few 20 day sample sizes are in the books.

Today trades:
DAX: trade 1: SL hit (price pulled back). trade 2: SL hit. target was set higher than key level. This level was hit and price went back home again.
ES:trade 1: TP hit. (SL was set to the HI of reference candle).
