There are still clarifications.
For example, I use monitors now in this way:

How do you use each of your monitors, why does 1.2.3.4 monitor serve? How is work itself organized with these monitors?

P.S. This is essentially a question about the organization of the workplace.
I think this has an impact on the concentration, speed and correctness of operational decisions, and, accordingly, on the financial result.

On the desktop I have all the usual crap where I watch videos and such. I also have the Terminal (can see price movement, place stops and targets etc.) Also, I have the navigator with a script to close all when I have several orders on. I have my order slip pop up here also, so it doesn't cover the charts up.

The other monitors are divided into two as per the drawing above. When I start the analysis, I bring up the higher time frames and make a note of the key levels. These levels I transfer to the 1-hour chart and label the lines accordingly in the description. I don't need the higher times frames to be visible all the time.

I also have pen and paper to write stuff down, one page per day and date this. At the bottom I write my thoughts for the day's activity, I learn a lot from this. Everyone should have a trading diary.

There is an idea.

I propose to consider the schedule analysis option in this form.

This is the option of serving bars in the form of Mean Renko.
There are 8 more options.

The indicator that displays the schedule so I took on ovo.cz/products/
(there are 2 weeks free, enough for the test)
There are many options for schedules.

The schedule works in this form a little differently, but visually gives less market noise and a more manifest focus.
AB = CD works, there are fewer triangles, but everyone works.


I analyzed different options and saw many unambiguous signals with this schedule.

Perhaps this option can be used as an auxiliary, especially in complex points on the market.

In the figure below, I marked the last few days for example.
10 PIPS grid.
Setting at the bottom of the screen 32 is 1 bar = 3.2 points.
I accepted it for example as a senior timeframe (M30- H1)
The second screen (18.03.25) is set by 13 this is 1 bar = 1.3 points, I consider it as a smaller (≈m 5)

In general, this is information for testing. Whether this will become useful for trade, I give it to your consideration and verdict).

I am studying this; I haven't forgotten your post. At first glance it is somewhat interesting but is it applicable, not sure yet.

I have played about with this but find it more trouble than it is worth. I like to keep it simple by trading the averages as per this thread.

Renko bars are problematic because the settings have to be changed according to the market activity (sometimes larger, sometimes smaller). They look pretty when viewed in hindsight, we can clearly see the longer runs and the shorter ones then we see the bumpy ones in a choppy market.

One thing I look for is when the EMA is about to make a HH/LL we generally see a larger price bar to pull the EMA along. We don't see that with Renko. Finding where the price finds support either bullish or bearish is another key factor not seen in Renko. Finding Divs is the same no matter what we use.

As for finding triangles I only use these for direction clues preferring to target the EMA swings. If these swings are greater than 40 pips, I know I have a good chance to make my 40 pips (2%).

Anyway, all in all they are not for me.

Could you please explain how you analyze the D, H4, H1, and M5 timeframes using a top-down approach? What do you do when conflicts arise between these timeframes?
Additionally, if there is no signal from H1, such as a divergence at a swing level, do you enter a trade based solely on a signal from M5 while following the trend?
I have also noticed that you sometimes take into consideration the H4 or M15 timeframes. Could you clarify that as well?

There is no conflict, I simply trade in the direction of expectation on these higher time frames.

The higher time frames only give us the potential target distances depending upon how long we are going to be engaged in a particular trade.

The lower time frames give us the entry signals to take in the same direction as the higher. If we take the opposite direction, we expect it to just be a scalp that will turn to continue the trend.

The 4 hour and upwards charts can take forever to reach ZOO points. Trading these is fine if you are a long-term trader holding in there for days on end. However, even short-term traders should be aware of these ZOO points because they could be the start of something bigger than normal.

Mostly I look for my ZOO points on the 1-hour chart hoping to get my pips in a matter of hours not days. I can always hold the trade open if I wish taking advantage of the higher time frame target level.

The market performs the same way every day. Just like reading a book over and over.

I have a problem when it comes to following trends. During an uptrend, I tend to wait for a bearish divergence at the top aiming for my first target, the H1 EMA. However, I've noticed that the EMA often continues to hold for an extended period, leading to a shorter target. At least this approach feels more reliable than waiting for a continuation divergence near H1-EMA, as that strategy has failed me multiple times. The price tends to cross the H1 EMA further before rising again. In hindsight, this approach seems effective, but in real-time, it can be quite challenging.
Can you clarify how you handle this situation?

On most days most of the activity happens in the London session, the exception tends to be when some critical news is likely to influence the market in which case the movement tends to be in the US session. These are the runs we are trying to grab or even a portion of them.

The price will often cross the EMA before turning back on track, but does price find support after crossing? These crossings often form the ABCD's we look for. A bull market needs to find suckers that are selling so the bulls can buy at bargain prices, this is why we have retracements, to attract sellers. Retracements can be huge convincing traders the direction has indeed changed only to turn again and make a HH. A one bar pullback on a daily or weekly chart may be hundreds of pips so we protect ourselves with stops, then consider other opportunities.

The losses we get should not be more than 1% of our account. I don't wait for this loss if I am wrong, I bail, often for far less of a loss which I easily make it up again when correct.

As the saying goes never marry the trade.

That's why we need to practice a lot to develop reflexes and gain a sense of the market. As Alan says, the stop loss should not exceed 1% of the account, and he won't let losses reach that level if he realizes he's wrong. This technique cannot be mastered in just a day or two. It requires time, practice, and a certain level of talent.

hi to all I have used an swig indicator by using some criteria
this indicator shows the potentional reversal point.
it can be used for all pair and all time frams but I used it in 5min timeframe.
integrated it with Donchian Channel period equal 10.
when the swing catcher alarmed wait until the close candle under donchain channel line.

Because I was reacting to the bull div on the 15 min and that was the expected swing high average to go for on that timeframe.

Edit... It actually did make my target but because I had to go out, I moved my stop.
