Kindly look into the possibility of adding profit/loss display in green/red colors respectively to the features of this indicator.

SetSymbol MT5 subwindow option does not work!

Hi idiamond, thank you for the indicator it is very useful.
Is it possible to add Hide Show button to it on the chart, as this indicator takes a lot of space on the chart and it is not needed to be visible all the time.

My indicator can do it. See item 4 of features and the top of the screenshot in the post #1. My indi is there too.

Interesting that people talk with idiamond more than with me in my thread.

I just wanted something simple to switch between pairs easily and fast, and doesn't take a lot of space on the chart.
This doesn't mean your indicator is not good, different traders have different strategies and style and needs.

I thank you very much for the effort you put developing the button indicator it is great and very useful.

Major New Version.

Addition of a Dialog Display Mode, which can be dynamically moved and minimized.

Can also be displayed the previous ways, directly on the main chart or on chart subwindows.

More than one copy of the indicator can be used on the same chart, such as different display modes for separate symbol or period lists.

Both MT4 and MT5 versions included.

How did you manage this? Will it work correctly if I rename indi's file and attach multiple copies of it on the chart?

No need to rename.

For the "Buttons Directly On Chart" Mode, came up a fairly unique reliable prefix that is used to create all the objects. Here is the code:

For the "Buttons On Dialog" Mode, needed to work around a missing srand() bug in the MetaTrader Library. Here is the code:
srand((int)GetMicrosecondCount()); // Needed since Dialog.mqh CreateInstanceId() rand() returns duplicates with more than one CAppDialog

Check the chart Object List -> List All to verify the unique names.

I thought of combining some parameters when I was developing my indi, but I came to conclusion it's not 100% reliable way of achieving this, though I didn't think about counters back then.
But you use GetMicrosecondCount, and theoretically (very unlikely) it can give same results.
Here I managed to receive quite close ones, difference is just 10 microseconds:

I would've used GetTickCount64 instead, since it's only coming up. Good idea about using counters.

1 Millisecond = 1000 Microseconds

Per MQL5 Reference / MQL5 programs / Program Running
All indicators calculated on one symbol, even if they are attached to different charts, work in the same thread. Thus, all indicators on one symbol share the resources of one thread.

Perhaps if there is ever a MetaTrader 6, GetMicrosecondCount() will give the same results.

MetaTrader 5 came out in 2010. Wish there was a MetaTrader 6. I've found many bugs within MetaTrader 4 and 5.

also can you bold a text?

Try the Dialog mode to hide and show.

Hi idiamond, your indicator is really awesome. I have a question about how many symbols can be added in the symbol changer? it just presented 37 symbol names but I want to add 65 ones. How can I do it? your help is appreicated.

MQL_GLOBAL_COUNTER: this is a very useful tool, it's a shame it's not available in MT4. I just checked.

By the way, although it's not for MT5, here's an excellent ChartChanger for MT4.
