My current trades, had to restart the terminal so I lost the graph but you can see hte numbers on the screen. I was up around $140 positive at one stage, will see if it can recover.

Hi Gene said that if you restart your terminal the logic will not manage the trades anymore.

If I manually open tades using the the strategy trader will the manager manage these trades.

If you click the "BUY" or "SELL" buttons in the Strategy Trader it sends a buy or sell signal to the Manager the same as it would if the trade was triggered by the Strategy. Of course if you are in a Buy trade already the sell button will not work and if you are in a sell trade already the Buy button will not work because you can not hedge an open trade. The Manager always manages what is sent to it by the Strategy Trader.
This is how you can add to an open trade manually if you want to by using the BUY or SELL buttons.

if this is true then that is very dangerous.. very easy for a power outage or a pc restart to occur. There is no reason the manager should not be able to detect and manage the opened trades. It can already see them.

I don't trade unless I have a UPS or am using a shared server space someplace.

If the computer goes down when restarted it knows the trades it placed and the Strategy 1 trader will resume handling them and watching for new trades or possible closures.

Of course if your off line for an extended period of time you could use the MT4 app on your cell phone to dial in and watch your trades also.
You should always have a backup plan.

Looks like your trading on a live account.

Good to know it will resume handling the trades, this was on a VPS that for some reason restarted. I've shut this weeks test down with $10 profit and I'll resume next week.

By the end of the week I will be coming out with version 7 of the Strategy Trader with a (Slow, Medium, Fast) entry points for testing and also a M15 scalper. These will all be selections in version 7 of the Strategy Trader.
If anyone has a swing bang strategy that makes big money and would like it to be incorporated into the Strategy Trader for auto trading as a choice let me know and I will give it a look.

Lets everyone jump aboard this train and lets make some money.
Of course you do have to post, that is how we all can be as smart as you. LOL
