Ok.
I am very interested in the Pullback Grid EA, so I took the initiative to clean up the code by reorganizing it and removing unused variables. The cleaned-up version maintains all the original functionality, but the input settings have been minimized—any modifications now need to be done directly through the source code. I have a few questions: How do you determine the lot size, distances, and take profit (TP)? The lot sizes appear somewhat similar to the Fibonacci sequence, but not exactly. Additionally, the TP differs from the distance by 400 points. If you're able to share insights, that would be fantastic. If not, I completely respect your privacy.

Ok great.

Lot size - was achieved by backtesting - kept changing until profit was just reached at every level - for that specific grid setup

Tp - I just kept consistent - just above/ below previous grid level

Grid distance - was most suitable for btc 1m I felt - the smaller the distances the easier it is to hit tp but increases draw down easily - vice versa for bigger distances

There is a lot of possibilities - the grids distances can increase or decrease
- the tp distances can increase every grid which will make it harder to reach it but can reduce lot size

Yes that is the main problem - it works 99% of the time but that 1 time price doesn't pullback it will blow account or hit sl

Unfortunately I don't think there is any solution but keep trying, may be you or someone get the answer I couldn't find

I've been considering strategies to minimize the risks—either by reducing the lot sizes or increasing the distance between levels. However, when it comes to the take-profit (TP) calculation based on those distances, I’m unsure of the exact formula you’ve applied, which is why I’m seeking clarification.

Do you, or others, believe that waiting for BTC/USD to move the minimum daily distance (e.g., $3,000 to $5,000) before allowing the expert to initiate trades could help avoid a significant movement or drawdown?

Hello, thank you very much for your ideas and contributions. I have a Pullback backtest, it brought profit from 10k to 40k and then burned (after 2 years). I think with Grid form, increase vol according to Fibo and should widen the order distance according to Fibo to be able to close all orders when the price Pullback.

Hi all,
Yesterday I asked chatgpt.com to program a breakout EA.
The breakout should be yesterday's high/low, the trigger for trend determination should be Ichimoku indicator.

Here is the proposed code (mq4), I only made minor changes (changeable time frame, DailyProfit() andPrintObj()).
I tested the variables using ICMarkets, Dax (DE40) and Strategytester in M15.

Maybe someone would like to try out the code in other currency pairs, timeframes or suggest improvements :-)

Added panel, time filter and mtf ma filter

Panel is 1 bar expiry (next bar) - or should be

Didn't test at all

AI says it is non repaint but not sure

Test and try and improve

Try this version - fibo lot size won't work - changed to martingale

Grid distance on fibo - multiplies base grid distance

Default settings btc

This was my last amendment on Pullback EA - hope it's better

Hello, I need help and I am turning to everyone who has experience in coding with AI. I made the robot that I am implementing together with the indicator it works with. Everything is fine. I built the robot, modified it for situations such as power outages or internet and it works exactly. I only have a problem with determining the TProfit for a group of operations with a dynamic lot. The goal of this progression is a positive output equal to the set TP. The logic of determining the last TP in the group of operations is the sum of all losses + one TP from the settings, . At the moment this is not the result. Can someone help and fix it. The EA works on H1. Thanks

How It Works Now

  1. Dynamic Target TP:
    For each new trade in a dynamic group, the target TP is now set to:
    AccumulatedLoss + TakeProfitPips
    This ensures that if the trade wins, the overall net result of the group equals the base TP setting after covering past losses.
  2. Accumulated Loss Tracking:
    Each time an order closes with a loss, the loss in pips is added to AccumulatedLoss. When a winning trade occurs, these losses are reset.

This update should meet your goal of having the final profit of a group equal the preset TP after accounting for all prior losses.

I tested the Cyborg EA on a demo account for a week using its default settings, consistently earning around $3x to $9x daily. I was on the verge of switching to a real account, but then encountered a situation where the market ranged, leading all 12 levels to open and resulting in a $13xx drawdown. The losing trades carried over to the next day, accumulating swap costs of $1xx. As you mentioned, 'It works great until the market ranges for a long time and can't reach profit' and 'Must be a swap-free account.'
