DislikedHere is my first attempt at a youtube video on the mebob concept and how I intend to explore it in my trading. We had storms here and the electricity was flickering on and off. It seems to have affected my microphone a bit and at times it may sound as though I'm talking with a mouthful of marbles. https://youtu.be/Qc7R9nguYywIgnored

Disliked{quote} At one point I was thinking I should start a new journal to focus on my trading post-epiphany. But then I decided that this journal was where I was and is a good record for me of where I've been and where I'm going. However, the mebob stuff could overtake the journaling aspect of the journal, so I think I'll be starting a systems thread devoted to the mebob concept in the systems section to keep the journal on its journey. Probably will start it tonight after dinner.Ignored
DislikedReally Vid, They both go together. The growth we go through as traders is both on the Method or Systems as well learning to just trust the system in the first place. You have to have both to succeed. Just my opinion, I would change anythingIgnored
Disliked{quote} Yes sir! Do it. We just have to separate the VEBOB and the MEBOB. The VEBOB(your method) isn't very clear to me when you set limit orders, seems like there's a decent amount of subjectivity.Ignored
Disliked{quote} The roulette epiphany was so jarring for me because I had at my disposal numerous methods and systems that provided a positive edge, and yet I still failed to maintain true long-term consistency. That is why I distinguish between the "mindset reset" (to borrow a phrase from Stacey Burke) and the nuts and bolts os systems development and testing. I do understand why you say what you say. In my own mind, just based on my recent experience, I feel them to be quite distinct as they apply to me. I certainly wouldn't say that I am right and others...Ignored
DislikedHi, I admire your candidness about your journey. I have now been trading for some years with a variety of successful methods but couldn't get the long-term consistency that I aspired to. Like everyone else, I made and lost money. Here is a small part of my trading journey lately. To sort myself out I did a lot of soul searching. I was a successful Executive Manger/business owner (I retired at 56 y.o), what did I do to make me successful then? The answers were: know your job 100% and deliver to the internal/external clients on your promesse 100%...Ignored
DislikedWhat's the most amount of contracts you have ever traded, and follow up, in a hypothetical world, how many would you do? Trying to sort out the money management on the BEBOB. Want to understand the practicality of doubling position size for the default method. I think it could work wonders as price tends to move away and never return after a bit. Meaning, if you get one win on a move that made significant distance from the MEBOB zone you should theoretically stop. If price chops around the MEBOB level, increasing your position size after a loss...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Turnip, anything you want to share here in my journal is welcome. You and me are fellow travellers honing our craft! Yes, you have it right. And I would agree with you: using mebob, whether the original rules or as a reference zone can offer a quick trade or two and then get on with your life. In the document blue found for us by Tom Hougaard, he mentions that the originator, i.e. "mebob" the trader himself used this as a "trend following" set up. If you are trading all day it can certainly help you catch a trend if one occurs. For example,...Ignored
