I had gone for EA and taken partial, the stop is moved to be so stress free

If you use the 5 in the settings you can see what i mean ;-)
Not saying this is better than the original, it is just something i noticed.

slightly late with the entry (2-3) candles but thought I chance it. Position will be closed before close of market. I rarely keep position overnight
EDit: lost a couple of pips and going flat into the weekend

AU Feb28 New York Close UPDATE:

- a nice bearish close is what I needed for a +2R trade

- sellers are cautious at month-end and when oscillators show over-sold

- sometimes the market just take it own time to move when the time-is-right

i took a close and detailed look at my trades of the last 13 days and subjected them to a simple trend filter of 5 different MAs.

I realized once again that my losses tended to be due to the fact that I traded against the trend of these 5 MAs. on the other hand, most of the gains were all in line with the trend. very simple, as it says in the textbook;-)

i will pay much more attention to this in the near future. the DTosc indicator is not so important.

also, the signal does not have to be 100% within the 5ma channel.

the generally dominant trend at the moment has priority.

I will be heading back over to my other thread on Monday and start posting there.
I have had an overload of information this week and fried my brain.
I have been trading the DTosc with mixed results, probably the same as Birdland.
What I have got from trading it is that the close inside band rule with the trend is an excellent entry trigger.
I will be looking at entering trades when DTosc is overbought / oversold off support and resistance with a close inside the band.
I will post any trades I take with these parameters here.
I see potential for an EA using these entry conditions

Note that:

  1. My MT4 gives signals only when close has been inside the 5MA band.
  2. Signalrobot contains a Overbought/Oversold filter.
  3. And an mtf filter.
  4. I furthermore use the traffic light, which is the EMA's 20, 50 and 100 to show the trend and trades should only be taken when there is a bounce from one of the MA's.

Because the DTosc has a myriad of wrong signals. Using these filters you will have very few but better signals. Then it is a nice thing that the robot has alarms, so that you can do other things while trading.

MetaTrader 4 - so many advantages.

Nice! Can use only 100 EMA and 200 EMA also.
