May I have a question about after I change the HOTKEYS from example Buy=B to 8 and Sell=S to 2 how can I save it as a default because every time I start MT5 I have to set them again?

To ensure your settings are preserved in the Trade Manager of your MT5 terminal, please follow the steps below:

1. Saving Expert List Settings:
   Right-click on the chart and select Expert List. From there, go to Properties > Inputs and save your settings under a name of your choice (e.g., Gyorgy.set).

2. Saving Your MT5 Template:
   Once your settings are saved, you should also save the entire template to avoid resetting these preferences in the future. Right-click on the chart, select Save Template, and save it as default.tpl.

By doing this, every time you load a new pair on the chart or reload your MT5 terminal, your Trade Manager settings will automatically be applied and ready to use as you have saved them.

When a trade reaches a certain profit level, many traders protect their account by moving the Stop Loss to the trade opening level or a little further so that in the event of a negative scenario, when the price turns back, they do not get a loss on that trade.
To avoid sitting at the screen and “keep an eye on” transactions all the time, the Trade Manager program has an automatic Break Even feature.
Basic Break Even


Before we activate the automatic Break Even, we need to set two parameters:

1. Activation – that is the level / moment when the stop loss should be moved to Break Even. The moment of activation can be set as:
   1. distance in pips from the opening price
   2. percent (%) of the distance from the opening price to TP, e.g. TP = 120 pips BE Activation = 30% means activate BE at 36 pips of profit (30% of 120 pips)
   3. Risk Reward (RR) means distance as ratio of SL distance eg activation = 1.0 R: R and SL = 30 pips then activate BE at 30 pips of profit; another example BE activation = 1.5 R: R and SL = 30 pips then activate BE at 45 pips of profit. This is always related to initial Stop Loss.
   4. price – a certain price level

2. Profit – the amount you need to protect by a BreakEven option. You can set this value in pips, percent (%), risk reward (rr) or price.

If you have BUY order and set BE activation= 50 pips and profit = 20 pips then after gaining 50 pips of profit it moves Stop to 20 pips over the open level, so if price turns back and hits your stop you get 20 pips of profit protected by a Break Even.
Profit value in percent means % of current profit, so when you set BE profit = 50% and in the moment of activation of BE profit is eg 30 pips then Stop is moved to 15 pips (50% of 30 pips).
You can switch between the individual units of the “Activation” and “Profit” parameters by clicking on the buttons with the unit (pips, %, rr or price).

After all parameters are set, activate the function by clicking the button at the top.


When setting individual parameters for each trade is active, then the settings from the main panel of the program are copied to each new trade.
Otherwise, the settings from the main panel apply to all orders from the current symbol.

Aight thanks works now, easy fix. Been using trade manager for around 2 years now, first for mt4, but once I bought a new laptop I transitioned to mt5. Works like a charm, does the job and lifetime updates is also very appreciated!

Trailing Stop in Trade Manager MT5
A trailing stop is a type of closing order that automatically follows market movements in MetaTrader. It intervenes and secures profits by closing our position as long as it is favorable. The trailing stop allows you to both limit losses and protect the profits generated by your transaction when trading MT5 or MT4.
Basic Trailing Stop



The Trailing Stop in the Trade Manager MT5 has 3 parameters to set:

1. Start – number of pips of profit to activate the trailing stop. The “Start” can be set as:
   1. Distance in pips from the opening price
   2. Percent (%) of the distance from the opening price to TP. For example, TP = 88 pips, TS Start = 30% means activate Trailing Stop at 26.4 pips of profit (30% of 88 pips).
   3. Risk Reward (RR), which means distance as a ratio of the SL distance, e.g., activation = 1.2 R: R, and SL = 30 pips. Then, activate BE at 36 pips of profit. This is always related to the initial Stop Loss.
   4. Price (pr.) – a certain price level.

   
   
   

2. Trailing – When trailing stop will start and move stop loss, here we can define a distance of stop loss to the current price. The “Trailing” value can be defined as:
   1. Fixed stop distance from the current price, e.g., 20 pips.
   2. Percent (%) of earned profit. For example, if we set the parameter trailing = 25%, and if the profit is 40 pips, then the stop will be moved 10 pips from the opening price (25% of 40 pips = 10 pips).
   3. Risk Reward (RR) – In this case, you can define the distance maintained by the stop loss to the current price as a fraction or a multiple of the initial stop loss. For example, if we have a trade with an initial stop loss of 50 pips, defining the trailing as 1.5 RR means that at each move, the stop distance from the current price will be equal to 1.5 * initial stop loss = 75 pips.

   
   
   

3. Step – How many pips of profit cause the move of the stop level, i.e., how often the stop loss is moved. You can define this parameter as a distance in pips or risk reward related to the initial Stop Loss.

You can switch between the individual units of the “Start” and “Trailing” parameters by clicking on the buttons with the unit (pips, %, RR, or price).

After all parameters are set, activate the function by clicking the button at the top.

Below its example for Eurusd :

Trailing stop have 3 parameters to set:
- Start: number of pips of profit to activate trailing stop
- Trailing: when trailing stop will start and move stop loss, here we can define a distance of stop loss to current price
- Step: how many pips of profit causes the move of stop level, i.e. how often stop loss is to be moved
For example. Set parameters:
Start = 10 pips
Trailing = 20 pips
Step = 5 pips
When order will reach 10 pips profit stop loss will be moved to 20 pips from current price, so in the worst scenario when price will back we lost only 10 pips).
When price will move 5 pips upper, we will have 15 pips of unrealized profit and stop loss will be moved a 5 pips closer to current price, so in this worst scenario when price will back we lost only 5 pips...
...and so on

I recently installed the Trade Manager for MT4 and MT5 and they are a real game changer. I'm still new to this but are there ways to reverse a trade quickly, like from a guy trade to a sell trade? I need to move fast if I'm working on 5-minute candlesticks.

In our Trade Manager MT5, we offer a Reverse Button option for greater flexibility in managing your trades.
As demonstrated in the example, a trade was initially executed in the buy direction. Using the Reverse Button (as indicated by the mouse pointer), you can easily reverse the trade, switching from a buy position to a sell position. Please note that when you reverse a trade, both the Stop Loss and Take Profit levels will automatically carry over from the previous trade—in this case, the buy setup.

When you say the SL and TP carries over from the previous Buy trade, what do you mean? When you reverse the trade, won't the system give a new SL and TP? For example, if I set up a buy trade and it is running, and I feel that it is not going in the direction that I want, if I press the reverse button, does it close my buy order and set up a new sell order?

As demonstrated in the example above, when you execute a trade in the buy direction and then choose to reverse the trade, the initial buy position will be closed. Subsequently, a sell position will be opened. Please note that the sell position will automatically carry over the same Stop Loss and Take Profit levels that were applied to the original buy trade, as the action essentially reverses the trade setup.
To answer your question, yes, when you reverse the trade, the buy position will be closed, and a sell position will be opened with the same Stop Loss and Take Profit values used in the previous buy setup.

I would like to share some important information regarding the Trade Manager MT5 and how it can enhance your MT5 trading experience, particularly with the Metatrader MT5 platform.
When a trade reaches a certain profit level, many traders take measures to protect their account by adjusting the Stop Loss to the opening level of the trade or slightly beyond. This strategy ensures that in the event of a price reversal, they do not incur a loss on the trade. To make this process more efficient, the Trade Manager MT5 offers an automated Break Even feature.


Before activating the Break Even feature, two essential parameters must be set:

1. Activation Level: This is the point at which the Stop Loss is moved to Break Even. The activation level can be defined in various ways:
   1. Distance in pips from the opening price.
   2. Percentage (%) of the distance from the opening price to Take Profit (TP). For example, if TP is 120 pips and Break Even Activation is set to 30%, the Break Even will activate once the price reaches 36 pips of profit (30% of 120 pips).

For example, if you have a BUY order and set Break Even Activation to 50 pips with a Profit value of 20 pips, once the trade reaches 50 pips of profit, the Stop Loss will be moved to 20 pips above the opening level. This ensures that, if the price reverses and hits the Stop Loss, you will still secure 20 pips of profit.

Additionally, the Profit value in percentage means the percentage of the current profit. If you set Break Even Profit to 50% and the current profit is 30 pips at the activation moment, the Stop Loss will be moved to 15 pips (50% of 30 pips).
You can easily switch between the units (pips, %, R:R, or price) for both the Activation and Profit parameters by clicking the respective unit buttons.

Once all the parameters are set, you can activate the feature by simply clicking the activation button at the top of the panel.


If individual parameters are set for each trade, these settings will be applied to all future trades. If not, the main panel settings will apply to all orders for the current symbol.
