too early mistake today, tipical when h4 stoch is stretching + now the daily too

saved previous mistake, that's the best thing about elasticity entries, even if no a good entry, if it's in the elasticty zone, the chance to save it are really high, probably will keep going up but closed them at be, too bad entries specially knowing that tomorrow is friday, end of month, and daily stoch is moving, son will be a great chance for go long again, if not was today in this dip of course

The pump and dump - both on a high volume, the moves with strong commitments
At times the session has been very choppy, on other occasions the moves held TD counts, and went far further
Many trades (scalps included - over 100, I fire them fast building position which I exited today manually), over 80% positive , 2 trades hit SL, the rest were small losses
the pump - on the news release re tariffs -contrarian move, Longs to the upper level of fibs channel (on M1, chart not posted here)
the dump - after that channel has been reached by the longs, rotation to the short side in place in accordance with the daily chart posted below

I have been using Fibs in all different ways for a long time, few of them have been unusual.
The fibs drawn from the impulsive, which is confirmed to be impulsive by a measured retracement demands familiarity of the PA of a given traded instrument, it also demands patience and discipline to limit the risk by SL and/or exit strategy. On DOW I enter close to the level of the (confirming) retracement, with the opening lot, to which I add more aggressively when in profit.
That relatively simple part of the FIB strategy also does well in confluence with other things of a given strategy, including the powerful MTs analysis.
IMHO trading one instrument (in my case DOW cash and DOW futures I treat as one, though they are a bit different) allows to be well focused and gaining valuable experience necessary for consistent profitable trading. Different instruments dance to specific rhythms, and it is important to discern that.
DOW for example likes to hit EXT 224, 261.8 and in a strong move above that, these are extremes, by the time the first EXT is hit, I am already well in positive territory, then comes the trade management, take profit when rotation on a smaller TF looks likely, and renter after that rotation is over in the direction of that first impulsive, (on occasions taking a counter trade - much more riskier IMHO)
Below is the example taken from DOW last NYSE session. When Fibs are concern I do not need to draw them all the time, especially for the retracement, for the EXTs yes, as I find EXT levels more difficult to project in my mind, though other parts of the strategy usually point to the poss exhaustion of the given move

The other thing that interest me is the cyclical nature of the PA on different TF, since DT charts for the Daily, and on shorter TF I have been using Schaff trend cycle in addition to Stochs - nothing is perfect, no holy ground, but nevertheless very useful.

Thanks for your input. I agree that focusing on an instrument allows you to go deeper into the details and do an exhaustive analysis of it through mtf. By just operating gold I already feel very familiar, how it moves, when and where. I think that the key is in those details and in carrying out an analysis of different tfs with and knowing how to use the tools that one has chosen
