Hope you all like the video...and I hope it all makes sense.

I have been working on 3 different versions of this "catching the trend" type system and this seems to be the one I like the best.

I think I will post 2 more videos on the other methods.

I have done a lot more testing with those other systems and will post some screen shots with the results.

I will post the indicators too...you can get them on my Williams thread.

This is the current daily Gold chart, showing all closed trades, open trades and open pip count.

I haven't discussed MM yet...my original thought was to take trades, set an appropriate SL and close on the rules.

I will not be getting into MM here as it is up to each trader...

This is the same chart showing all trades open and we will close all trades when (in this case...BUY) a green candle prints with a DOT and there is no bar in the volume indicator.

This is the last trade that closed today on todays close...we got a candle with a dot but no volume bar.

Giving us a total of 2389 pips over 11 trades since the 9th 0f January 2025 to today.

No I have not. This is a brand new system...these two indicators were used in the Williams EA, that's how come they are updated versions.

I think an EA would be relatively easy for this system though...not too many moving parts.

Nice! Can you confirm the volume/volatility settings being 5-14-14-233-0.5 ?
On my chart, the green bars stop after jan-21st... (ICM broker)

That is what I have (Global Prime broker)
However something strange has happened...I just started my MT4 and there are yellow bars on the last 3 candles that were not there yesterday. See chart...

When I took the screenshot of the chart yesterday there was one yellow bar there (good) and the market was closed (also good) so when the market opened it printed the second yellow and the third would have printed on market open today.

So it is not repainting (again good) I just need to wait until the market opens and the Volume indicator updates.

I am not too good with the tester, would someone check when the bars show up...IE at the bar close or later...thanks

OK I did get the tester figured out and it printed immediately after every candle close (super good) LOL

So, if those settings are what you use, the differences must come from the "volume" - part (changes with broker) - not good.
Maybe something (ed:only) ATR - based can do a good job here?

Here is an Axitrader chart for Gold daily showing the trades with a little difference in the volume indicator...I don't see a reason for concern, just trade what you see.

No...both colors are confirmation of trade. The green and red arrows and dots signal long or short.
