Simple Profitable System

Hello, I am Sammforeal and I have been trading since 2008 although i get into other things so i have been off and on trading. But I have mastered well the core and all basic aspects of trading forex and all matters as regards trading. With experience in live trading, the good the bad and the ugly. These include Technicals, Fundamentals and Sentiment with all the other necessary topics and aspects of trading such as Money Management ,Psychology and many others. I want to start this Thread so that i can share my system that i use and also to see how i can help other traders in their trading so that i share my knowledge with those who want to learn or share their experiences. It will also enable me to improve and learn as well. At least I would have achieved my goal to prove that I am an experienced Trader. So that's it.

I will post my chart as it is so that i show that Multiple Timeframe is the key to successful and correct trading the markets.

It is important to note here that even though i use the Bollinger band and the TDI I still use Price Action as my basis. But what I want to share or highlight is that the Trend is the key to successful trading. Not that counter trend is not profitable no but it is much easier and more pips can be made when following the Trend. Note the downtrend that is obvious. This is made possible by following the Bollinger band outer bands. That is when the candles are touching the outer bands and in this instant case the lower outer bands and it gave a clean and very good downtrend which would have made cool money. This is how i trade and even train traders that come to me for training. I will also be sharing my knowledge on fundamental, Sentiment and other aspects of Pro trading with time. Okay, now the process is quite simple and can easily be comprehended with little effort and some time to grasp how the market works. It is necessary for one to wait patiently until a Trend forms from the higher timeframes before one can enter trades on the lower timeframes. This is crucial. So the same setup should be identified from the higher timeframes then it should also be seen on the lower timeframes. Also if one is trading Forex then a quick and careful look at the Economic calendar will be very helpful so that when high impact news will be released it will not upset the entire setups. This i will also take time to explain and clearly show how it affects the market and how Institutional traders use it to take money from retail traders commonly called Liquidity. I have checked the Calendar for today and there seems to be only one high impact news slated for the US dollar but since today is a monday the markets will see slow or little movements as Institutional traders are still resuming from weekend break.

I would also like to add that with the same approach any kind of asset can be traded successfully when following the Trend. It could be Forex, stocks, Crypto, Synthetics and so on....

Looking at BtcUSD today from the Asian session, it would have been a great sell. While like i said an trend setup is to be identified from the one hour chart or a price action structure for a trend should be clearly identified from a higher timeframe, then entry can be optimized on the lower timeframes such as 5 minute chart.

Here is the entry setup on 5 minute chart. Then exit is when the candlesticks leave or range away from the Bollinger outer bands....

Of course another very good way to exit trends is to trail your trades with a trailing stop loss. This will protect already made profits and also ensure that the exit is logical. Then one should wait for another setup instead of jumping into every small move that occurs. Most of the small moves are meant to make traders lose money. Scalpers here are the main victims including traders who don't really understand the concept of money management in terms of using the correct volume to open a trade based on their capital. For example if a trader opens a trade with a big volume due to leverage, he/she stands to lose money because the way the market works is that it does not always moves in a straight line. It will retrace first before it would continue in its course which is the trend. Having a well planned approach can take care of this or one can enter with a small volume then add another one as the trade progresses.

This downtrend occurred on the 10 of January but it highlights how my system works to capture trends on the 15 minutes chart.

Yes Karl and that is why I also indicated that I intend to share my system for critique and further refining so that I learn with other traders. So my "proving" is not only to show i know anything much about trading but just to share ideas and see how I can learn and perhaps other traders might learn something also from me. I hope you undertand me?

The price is all you need for true trend following. ie no MA's or BB's are needed. The price being the open / close of the bar / candle. Your beliefs are just that, personal belief, no outside help is given in trading. The market is an ocean of experts, tutors, books, forums, news, in which you can drown your brain. ITS JUST THE PRICE.

Thank you very much and I agree with you pure price action is key especially when major support and resistance is plotted from the Weekly, Monthly and subsequently daily and four hour charts then trigger entries are executed on the lower timeframes. Thank you. I only use the Bollinger Bands and that TDI for entry confirmation. But at the core it's pure price action with Key support or resistance levels. Indicators lag.

Still on USDCAD I was able to gather that yesterday President agreed to extend a for some time the tariff hike with Canada imports. This led the Dollar to fall against the Canadian dollar as can be seen on the charts below...The US dollar has been strong looking at the bigger time frames but this new Tariff was somehow has cause some level of uncertainty which has led the greenback to fall a bit.
